goatman461 Posted January 28, 2020 Posted January 28, 2020 *Your entry has earned 22 XP and has won the MandalMotors Corporation* While many are content to get on with their lives after the Empire, a new form of rebellion is brewing across the galaxy. Those not satisfied with the New Republics progress in subduing the remaining Imperial warlords have taken it upon themselves to strike back. Now, outlaws to both the New Republic and bitter enemies to the regrouping Imperials, these truest of freedom fighters have to rely on black market funding and resupply. The Confederacy of Free Systems has been a welcome friend to those searching for financing, safe harbor, and a shared vision of liberty. The Red Moon Squadron is one such group being secretly financed by various groups throughout the CFS. New Republic ambassadors blast the group as wanton terrorists, impeding negotiations with remaining Imperial holdouts. Those on Giju, who lived through slavery under the Empire, happily resupply the various starfighters of Red Moon Squadron. Spoiler Quote
marvelBoy123 Posted January 29, 2020 Posted January 29, 2020 Lovely details throughout, good choice of photo angles too, the proportions come through a lot better - especially in the first picture! Quote
Darth Bjorn Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 Sir! You may have outdone yourself. Can I ask if it is swooshable? I think you could have done a little more for the platform - maybe connect it with a gangway or add some antenna/console. That said, I fully appreciate that your focus has been on the ship - this is a beauty! Well done... Quote
goatman461 Posted February 1, 2020 Author Posted February 1, 2020 thanks y'all. Definitely not swooshable. Those wings are quite heavy and sometimes are only connected by a few studs. If you take them off (the dbg part), it can be swooshed, but I didn't bother to make spin or finish out the bottom of the engines. I was kind of trying to suggest a lot of under water activity with the platform, since it's a whale-man world, but I also underestimated how big the fang fighter was at minifigure scale. Quote
dvogon Posted February 3, 2020 Posted February 3, 2020 Very interesting ship build design. The shape is very difficult to get right. I like your build techniques in the front, the angled wings and the huge motor behind. The rounded base is simple but quite effective and clean. A lot of pieces as well to give the effect! Great job! MKJoshA Posted February 6, 2020 Posted February 6, 2020 I love the half circle red part! And great use of that Y-wing cockpit canopy. A little bulky, but overall a nice Fang Fighter. Quote
Cylo Posted February 10, 2020 Posted February 10, 2020 Nice build! Some interesting techniques there. I think the ship came out looking pretty good! Quote
Basiliscus Posted February 12, 2020 Posted February 12, 2020 Really great work! The cockpit seems small on relation to the ship size but I think it kind of makes it more realistic, lots of hull space for weaponary and other systems. I also love the landing pad and the ice scene, adds a lot to the presentation. Nice job Quote
