Any chance you could let me know the ballpark the parts cost you? I know Mirko always does a great job trying to use widely available pieces, I am hoping the damage is not too bad!

Mirko did an excellent job with the parts for this one. It was probably cheaper than if TLG were to release the set, and I purchased 100% of them from Bricklink. 10 cents per piece without even trying to nitpick the auto selections made by Bricklink.

now that K-2So is out, i'm really hoping that the B-project will be available before Christmas (hope is keeping me alive because we just went into lockdown again in France and our dear government is not telling us if we will have Christmas with our family or not...)

fingers crossed for both  ???

Hi Macaron35 surely the B-Project instructions will not be released this year. There is a lot of work behind a project like this and as already said I want everything to be at the top.

Hi Frizzlefry25 the cost of the parts should be about 0.10 / 0.15 euros per piece on average.

so on average for Mirko's builds, around 10c per piece ? was it also the case for the 2 previous MOCs ?

All my MOCs have a cost that is around 0.10 / 0.15 euros per piece (on average). It depends if you only want new parts or if you also accept used parts and it depends a lot on your research and purchase skills on Bricklink. I spend a lot of time choosing parts and verifying that they are available and inexpensive.

I'm very sad to hear that, but at the same time, I know how perfect you want it to be, so this means more patience for me

in the meantime as you advised, I already bought the set for its pieces and minifigs

thanks again for your response

stay safe

Absolutely pumped to build this MOC! Anxiously awaiting my Bricklink orders to come in. First impression is that the quality is better than an Official Set.

To move the K-Project just hold it with one hand by the legs and with the other hand gently balance the body. The legs are very sturdy and I easily move it like that. Also you can safely disconnect the top from the bottom and then reassemble it. It's not a game .. it's a UCS scale show model.

Holy crap! Maybe I should of read the details more carefully before I started building this beast! The wife will not be happy with the size of this guy!

But after building the U-wing and Silencer, I shouldn't have been surprised!

Looking forward to my last few part deliveries so I can get started with the rest of you. :)

I'm about 70% completed with this model and I'm extremely impressed. Its so much different than any other UCS style model and REALLY stands out.

If anyone is on the fence about getting this I highly recommend it, its worth it.

Great job Mirko! I look forward to your future projects and finishing up my TS and U projects.

Thanks a lot!! Receiving compliments from those who are building my MOCs is really very nice. In addition to devoting a lot of time to the aesthetic aspect and to the choice of parts to make the MOC as economical as possible, I spend a lot of time in the study and "design" of the construction phases. The building experience must also be as pleasant as possible. Thanks again

Last of my pieces finally came on Friday, and I was able to complete this amazing MOC!

Thanks Mirko! I have built three of your creations now. They all have been an enjoyable experience, and look amazing!

I am still blown away, just looking at this thing!

Hi Fry, thank you very much! Receiving excellent feedback on the construction phase is very important to me and I am very pleased. I'm glad you enjoyed my MOCs. I have a curiosity .. can I ask you which of the three do you prefer?

That is a tough question! All of the builds are fantastic, and use amazing building techniques. Your communication, instructions, and dedication truly made all of these feel like building UCS lego sets. But if I had to choose, I would have to say the U-Wing is my favorite! Mainly because the engines are so cool, and the U-Wing itself is a vehicle I have loved since they first put in on screen. Even though it is not as old, I feel it is iconic like the X-wing. It brings a smile to my face daily. :)

All the best Mirko!
