There are over 250 amazing MOCs on the Lego ideas Harry Potter contest, some very clever ideas and interesting builds.  I'd highly recommend checking it out.  My own submission is below for anyone interested, based on 4709 Snape's Class from 20 years ago (more images at the link to the submission).

Forgot to mention, this is one of my favourites - loads of references to previous sets and clever side builds. https://ideas.lego.com/challenges/5caa9cef-d9ec-46a0-b472-14ba484723f9/application/1c944a7c-eb24-4e76-b0ac-214e66d7ef85

Hey guys, I made new renders of my updated Hogwarts castle model in Blender. Some of you who are trying to connect old 2018-2020 sets to new ones might get some inspiration from this. You can also find me on Instagram as textorix_displays :)

It seems to me it was just yesterday when I read your disappointment about the new sets...

... now this :sweet:

I'm happy you managed to find a place for them, creating a simple but intriguing model of Hogwarts.

Very, very nice!

Thank you and yeah, at first I didn't like them at all but as I connected them to the rest and made few simple changes they grew on me :D

On my IG page this year I have created an advent calendar based on Hogsmeade (and The PoA movie in general)

The first MOC build was a mini Knight bus!:

And the day after was a Hogwarts Castle snow sculpture:

I’ll be posting one new build/figure for each day :)

Some more of my AC MOC:

Hogs Head pub signpost in the same way we got the Leaky cauldron, it’s a neat loophole to get such a wanted print considering LEGO’s rules on bars and alcohol:

And today’s build was a micro Clock Tower to fit behind the micro Hogwarts we got last year:

I made the Hufflepuff Common Room in the style of the 2021 Hogwarts sets.

I very like the overall look of it :) Without side walls it is not that cramped like other modules which is awesome and makes the space much more open! I would consider adding inverted slope 2 x 1 on both ends to reinforce the "ribs" on the back wall (in place of these 1 x 1 bricks) - they are basicaly 1 x 1 pilars without any support and connection to the wall + weight center is outside the connection point. Adding 1 x 3 bricks for middle "ribs" (on top of the panels under the slopes insted of these 1 x1 bricks) would also make them a little sturder :) I hope I'm not oversrepping ^^'

I love the early games vibe, I'm intended to build Hogwarts as it appears on screen, but fill in as much of the empty space as I can with little hints to ways games 1-3.

Looks great! I like the flask build especially.

Thank you! :) I don't known if you've checked my profile on rebricable but you will find there also free Gargoyle statue, Fire Crab and Giant Ornage Snail instructions which I'm super proud of :) There is also a bigger MOC with a lot of other references that you might find inspiring :)

I don't remember if I had already said it, but I think you really managed to catch the vibe of those PC games and transfigure it in LEGO form. Great work

Even if latter PC games are more movie faithful (too much, if yuo ask me), I preferred and still prefer the earlier ones, particularly PS and CoS. I find them more magic and surprising

You did but it is always nice to hear some more praising :D Thank you! PS and CoS are for sure the best ones. I also "find them more magic and surprising" :) And there is a really easy explanation for that - hidden secrets and Jeremy Soule soundtracks :) We had both of them in the later games as well but there were some major style changes done in these areas and the overall feel of the games changed as well.

Hungarian HorntailHorntail_2

My first Lego Moc ever. After 20 years of Lego abstinence, I'm stepping foot back into my childhood.

Inspiration: Benji (<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8bKvhoUnETY" rel="noreferrer nofollow">www.youtube.com/watch?v=8bKvhoUnETY</a>)

MOC: Hungarian Horntail; Rather playscale than minifig-scale.

This week I have for you Hogwarts dungeon MOC which you can put under the corridor from last week :) It has a hidden chest with a Chocolate Frog behind moving Lockhart portrait and all you need to brew Wiggenweld Potion - like always you can find the building instruction on rebrickable :)

Lockhart portrait

:snicker: Lockhart portrait... a must in Hogwarts during CoS.

I remember a secret room in Flitwick Skurgify Challenge with a Lockhart portrait. And me and my brother used to ask each other for what strange case Flitwick hid a Lockhart portrait in there. :iamded_lol:

Very nice!

Thank you! :)

You got me thinking and I have a theory :D Flitwick birthday is 17th of October, pretty close to the start of the school year (there is a fair chance that Skurge challenge takes place after) so I would assume it was a birthday gift which ended stored with the rest of Flitwick unwanted junk :D That would be sooo Lockhart :)
