Klaus-Dieter Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 Like proposed here I'll present you the next weeks one of my pictures from my - mostly self-designed but even official - minifigs from the Wild West theme - one picture per week. I hope you'll like it. And here is my first part: Western Family This is a typical Western family: Mother, son, daughter and father. Comments are welcome! Klaus-Dieter Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted May 11, 2008 Governor Posted May 11, 2008 That's a mighty fine family ya got there Mr Dieter! Now, pardon my ignorance but is the son and father's torso customs? Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted May 11, 2008 Author Posted May 11, 2008 That's a mighty fine family ya got there Mr Dieter! Now, pardon my ignorance but is the son and father's torso customs? Thank you very much, Mister Phes! These torsos are no customs but there will be some in later pics I'll show you . The torso of the son is the torso of the sheriff's assistant you can e. g. find in the "Fort Legoredo" set. The torso of the father is the torso you can find in some new City sets like the "Truck and Forklift" or "Town Plan". Klaus-Dieter Quote
Shadows Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 That is a happy looking family there. Will we be seeing where they live, eventually? Oh, and I think the mother should just give up dying her hair if she can't cover the black roots. Clearly he didn't marry her for her cooking. Him: "I'm in from a hard day on the range and I'm starvin'! What's fer supper?" Her: "Red tile." Him: "That's the third time this week!" Her: "I didn't hear you complainin' last night..." Him: "Heh, heh, that's different." Her: "Not if you want a fourth." Him: "Yes, dear." If you ever need the father to go into town and get in drunken brawl, you can always switch him to the werewolf torso, which is a tattered version of the same shirt. Quote
Asuka Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 A neat family, very nice.... only your mother ( ) looks a little weird with that belt across her chest.... a little too much swashbuckling, perhaps.... but nothing the new Castle Advent Calendar couldn´t fix.... Quote
Athos Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 I don't like Dad's shirt. I don't know why. He'd probably look better with a cowboy hat too. The rest look good. Though a less plain shirt would be good for the daughter. Steve Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 Nice little wild west family you've made there KD. I esp. like the kids. I also like that shirt you used for the father. I've used that a few times myself. Mom's a real beaut' too. She's rather attractive with her red shirt and all. Nice job . Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted May 13, 2008 Author Posted May 13, 2008 (edited) Thank you all very much for your nice comments! A neat family, very nice.... only your mother ( ) looks a little weird with that belt across her chest.... a little too muchswashbuckling, perhaps.... but nothing the new Castle Advent Calendar couldn´t fix.... I totally agree with you, Asuka! If I would have had the possibility to get a woman's torso without belt I surely would have bought it and designed that minifig in that style. The rest look good. Though a less plain shirt would be good for the daughter. You're right, Athos! But I didn't know which torso to use instead since on the one hand it shouldn't look too imaginative and on the other hand shouldn't look like a City minifig. So I chosed that one because it's neutral and I added the red scarf in order to that it doesn't look too vacant. I esp. like the kids. Thanks, TheBrickster! I thought that it would be nice to have a whole family because that would be something different and something new - and it would help us to anticipate excess of age of our society . Assuming you have them, of course. Steve Quote
Dovchenko Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 Perfect. Don't change it, please, make some more Western People! Better yet, a home for them! A station wagon! I'm going to start eating Red 1X2 Flat Tiles again. My doctor said I was too addicted and it could become dangerous but... why NOT take the chances... Quote
cyclone501 Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 I once did something like this. But I lost the figs, so I can't show it. I'll have to try later. Quote

I see what I can, sdpirate! But a farm will be very difficult to design - but perhaps . But at first my next WW MOC surely will be either a medicin man's tipi or the soldiers' watch tower - but I fear that you have to wait for them for some weeks . I once did something like this. But I lost the figs, so I can't show it. I'll have to try later. Yes, please try! I'm very surprised how the minifigs and the additional stuff will look like.
