I try not to use non-free programmes (exceptions are LDD and Studio.io).

You seem to have a reluctant PC.  It’s been a while I’ve had any problems with Linux on my hardwares.

I’m using a MacBook (2017 model) and it seems it’s not that compatible with Linux. Wouldn’t blame Linux for it, knowing that Apple uses quite some non-standard components. But was quite surprised about the difficulties, still.
