I Scream Clone Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 (edited) The Flight of the Forestmen Driven out from their beloved forest of Fhiasone, by the 'Good King' and Evil Sorcerer, the Forestmen numbers are slowly dwindling in this new age of Castle History. Forced to take shelter in the abandoned ruins of an old fortress they hope to get some rest...... Its going to be a cold night! The lighter side of the brick....Anyone order some concrete?! Gallery Any critique welcome as im still learning the art of stressed bricks. Edited May 13, 2008 by I Scream Clone Quote
Stash2Sixx Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 Forestmen has always been my favorite of the Castle line. Very creative MOC. The old castle really looked like rubble. Funny how skeletons also make great corpses!!!! Not just armies of the undead. Well done! Quote
Vaders_son Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 Nice MOC ISC! I like your crumbled castle and the idea of it giving the forestmen a shelter You seem to always add some fun part/scene to your creations, SNOT or not SNOT alike , and I think that's really cool. Makes me smile I'm just wondering where the forestmen got their banana from? Best regards, Benny Quote
Asuka Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 A very sad scenery, but you really did a good job to get that abandoned feeling right. More forest to those lonesome foresters I say! Quote
BlueBard Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 Poor forestment... LOL Nice MOC, specially because of the original story! Quote
Joey Lock Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 Very good! I love the Wheel on the Door as a Entrance Quote
I Scream Clone Posted May 17, 2008 Author Posted May 17, 2008 (edited) Thank you all for the nice comments! I had a lot of fun building this ruined castle, just need to find more bricks to build a proper castle now. Edited May 17, 2008 by I Scream Clone Quote
WhiteFang Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 (edited) Nice illustration! I love the way you create your abandoned ruins of an old fortress. It clearly indicates that. The story is well-summarised too. Furthermore, Forestmen is my fave. Personally, I have only one complain. Don't worry, it's not very big I always feel that Forestmen should used bows and arrows instead of using crossbow. Just curious, why you let the sentry used a crossbow. Its more accurate than the Banana and frypan the other forestmen are using The real reason is i havent purchased any off Bricklink ( though it seems like i prob will next order) Cheers for the comment Whitefang, criticism is always welcome if its constructive. Lt. Col. Thok Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 Very nice scenery, may I suggest that you make this into a LOTR Moc? I see Mines of Moria written all over it. Quote
Dovchenko Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 Never thought I'd like loose bricks lying around unsecured until now. Very nice, you really get that "old fort" feeling just looking at it! I like the detail used on this set, especially the now legendary concrete man... Quote
