Nope. We need a top side pic of the chassis before the bodywork is complete.

Maybe add this to the first post for maximum clarity. Something like "A picture of the buttom of the whole model is not enough"

I have explicitly stated (in bold) the line below. That is not clear enough?

At least one image of the chassis, so take a pic where we can see the chassis before you close the bodywork.

Apparently not for

@Zerobricks

@damjan97PL

@Stas_a45

Guys, we really do need a chassis picture as stated in the first post of the entry topic! I will NOT change that rule, because the quality of the chassis is important for voting.

So please edit your posts to include such a pic.

DON'T FORGET TO INCLUDE A PICTURE OF THE CHASSIS BEFORE THE BODYWORK HAS BEEN ADDED.
A BOTTOM CHASSIS PICTURE DOES NOT COUNT AS CHASSIS PICTURE!!

I also did not get the rule completely and did not want to blame those who already made their entry pictures.

Some of use build a front wheel drive car and in this case there is no real chassis. However, there will be a way to shoot a picture with minimal bodywork!

There's always a chassis :wink:

A picture like this would be okay-ish (preferably with less bodywork, so we can see the innards):

Think a lot of us are in the same boat.

Is it okay if I build exact copy of chassis instead of stripping the bodywork of finished model to make a pic? I am afraid, I will do some chassis alternation during the bodywork progress and it would be easier for me to build a copy of chassis instead of stripping the bodywork and putting it back again :classic:

More seriously, I think it's perfectly fine, as long as the copy is a exact match..

Yup. indeed.

Edited, I missunderstand that having a chassis photo in the WIP topic was enough.

My chassis somewhat relies on the bodywork, for instance 2 red T-bone pieces in the hood. So my question is, would an half open image like this suffice? I can remove the wheels and the left seat to show the drivetrain and the axles better.

Just curious, but how are you planning to enforce voters to take the chassis picture into account for what they will vote for?

You can't, of course. But I think most of the people here care about how it's built and thus want a clear shot of the chassis..

Exactly this :thumbup:

Voting is very subjective anyway, but showing how the chassis is made adds some value to the voting process.

Removing the wheels (and seats) sounds like a plan :thumbup:

What was the point limit pictures in entry topic, if this is is counted as one picture, it was not good idea to allow to combine pictures @Jim

Agree, those combined pictures are indeed on the borderline - also not very lucky for self marketing. With collages you distract the focus, it just looks messy to me, instead of making a WOW or WANT impression. These pictures are result of complete misunderstanding the concept of a contest structure - ENTRY topic is not to bundle every possible information into one comment, but should attract and catch our attention, thus for further details one just clicks on the WIP topic.

On the other hand - if You don't like those, you don't vote for them.

<snip>

Go read the earlier discussion regarding this. You can combine several pictures but you do so at the loss of resolution, as there's still maximum size of a picture you can post.
