Justsomebrix Posted November 21, 2023 Posted November 21, 2023 @Max_Lego great looking crew! What set are you reffering to? Quote

I was refering to the 75365 Yavin Base set. It has lots of dark-tan slopes, which would be useful for the ship's hull. Quote

Hope they are heading back to a modernised armada flagship! Oh, a marvelous conquistadores expedition force. I'm quite jealous of your older minifig torso's, and the use of the more recent parts is nicely done. Quote
Jeff of Clubs Posted December 24, 2023 Posted December 24, 2023 (edited) I thought I'd slap some Bluecoats up here as we can never have enough of those! Some of you will recognize these already but this is for those of you who haven't been playing BoBS. These were some of the units I raised for the Role Building Game, Bretheren of the Brick Seas (BoBS), hosted here on Eurobricks. Era 3 is rumored to begin this coming summer. Mayhaps you too will join us! Line Infantry Advance Naval Shore Party Penal Legion Bluecoat Militia 6 Pound Field Gun As you can see, BoBS' Bluecoat faction Gran Oleon takes all sorts of coats. More info and figbarfs on the best faction's glorious soldiers may be found here! If Redcoats are more your thing, I don't know why they would be, BoBS' redcoats can be found here. Era 3 of BoBS is meant to focus more on storytelling and roleplaying than previous iterations, so do consider joining us. Specifically, join us at Gran Oleon! Happy holidays and Vive le Roi! Thanks, ♧ Edited December 27, 2023 by Jeff of Clubs Quote

Stoertebricker Posted February 24, 2024 Posted February 24, 2024 (edited) Ahoy! Took me very long, but as a teaser for my new small vessel, here is the crew of the the Bermuda-Sloop: Grey Hawk: From left to right: Senior Gunnor: Frank Mc Lloyd Navigator: Sonja van den Rood Captain: Derek "Donker" von Dammen Youngster: Luke Mc Lloyd I hope you like them! (I assembled a special gun, too. I found a cutted flint gun in a part bulk so I tried to build a solid gun out of it again) Edited February 24, 2024 by Stoertebricker Quote
Yperio_Bricks Posted February 24, 2024 Posted February 24, 2024 These look great! Red Sonja and the Captain are my favorites! Quote
Murdoch17 Posted September 10, 2024 Posted September 10, 2024 Life; I command you! Bring this thread to LIFE! ...IT'S ALIVE!!! - Dr. Victor Frankenstein (probably) These totally purist Spanish Armada figs (six soldiers and one ship's captain) are to be used with my copy of the vessel in set 76440 (Triwizard Tournament - The Arrival) from the Harry Potter theme. The ship won't be built for another four months, but modifications are being planned to give the Spanish treasure ship brick-built sails, cannons, and printed shields - among other things. Thoughts? I cleaned out the last seller of the pants with more than 1 in my country (USA). I really don't want to spend a arm and a leg on shipping from Germany (or wherever) for parts that cost a buck each or less. Quote

Ah, the ultimate sacrifices one must make. Often I am annoyed by the fact that sellers from USA offer so much more than in Europe (not just LEGO, but things like boater hats too, yer country has so many of them, while Europe lacks such quantity ). And yet, I do like the diversity of European market, so would not trade it for the world. Yer point is fair enough, perhaps a few regular sailors would do the trick of more crew? Quote

I could, but honestly the size of the ship is so small, it might look silly with even these seven figures aboard. Thanks for the idea @Jack Sassy, but I'll just have to wait until the ship is built to see if your idea if feasible. Quote

Max_Lego Posted December 9, 2024 Posted December 9, 2024 Now that I've built the Redcoat ship of my dream, I think I should post a picture of her new crew here! From left to right: the Lady, the Captain, the Lieutenant, the Admiral (my younger brother, having read books by Patrick O'Brien, suggested to make him an oppressive grumpy man), the Drummer, the Observation Officer on a Montgolfier and, of course, the Pirates of the Children seas! Sadly, the Quartermaster and Cook aren't shown, because they are still stationed ot the ship's quarterdeck, but you can see them on the pictures in the beforementioned topic Quote
