May 17, 200816 yr The only problem I have with the figs is that I am pretty sure that Plo Koon has a yellow lightsaber. In Jedi Power Battles he had a yellow saber. I just thought it would have made him a better fig with a yellow. I mean Mace gets a purple one.... Yeah, but Mace Windu had a blue lightsaber in Jedi Power Battles! This game has been released a little ahead of its time and was therefore kind of inaccurate IMO. Also, I don't think it was supposed to be cannon. So, JPB isn't exactly a good reference, but I have to admit that a yellow lightsaber suits Plo Koon very well. I guess it's up to you if you believe the old video games and action figures or the new movies - or the rumor that Plo Koon might own different lightsabers... However, this particular minifig has been modeled after the portrayal of Plo Koon in the new cartoon where he has a blue saber as seen in the new trailer. Therefore, it's actually accurate. He still looks better with a yellow one though! Maybe we can exchange the blade... if there is a trans-yellow blade out there that is... Is there? Anyone? Well, if not, the trans-orange one from the Mini Podracers or the normal yellow one from the Jungle Duel set will do, I think. Edited May 17, 200816 yr by Oky Wan Kenobi
May 17, 200816 yr In the concept art of Plo Koon of the Episode III, he wear a dual green lightsaber gauntlet .
May 18, 200816 yr hmmm I just watched the start to JDP and it looks purple next to Obi's...oh well if the animated has it with blue then oh well. He looks better with yellow and I will probably just get a yellow one anyways. I really need some galactic marines....

May 23, 200816 yr Im still undecided about the new figs. I dont really like the way they look in pictures but I do like how the anakin figure from Anakin's Jedi Starfighter looks in real life. I didnt know why Lego changed the minifig faces but after seeing the trailer from the new movie I now understand they're based on that. Seeing that the movie is gonna kick off a Clone Wars TV series, its safe to say that these new faces are here to stay.
May 23, 200816 yr I purchased the Avatar sets and they had the similar "Cartoon" faces and I didn't mind while yes next to a standard fig the face is different, I didn't mind it much. The new Star Wars Clone War Faces I think are similar, while different they serve a purpose to separate the regular sets from the Cartoon Series Clone Wars. Some people will like it and some won't you cannot please everyone; this much I know to be true. From a collectors standpoint I'd like them to be uniform, but then I think well technically these aren't from the traiditional movies they're from an animated series, so why shouldn't they be different. Bottom line is I think most people will adopt them I mean I didn't like flesh when they first came out and now I love the flesh colored heads; I wish they had more designs on them, I wish they'd make some "classic" designs in flesh (I know thats what customizing is for.) I'm excited for the new sets and figures I think they'll be a blast, and happy to see all the changes LEGO is making to make the figures more accurate.
