Thank you! I think, I will make instruction only if I will make pretty strong wheel mountings at front (now they are not so strong). I hope it will be possible with mustang rims (I am going to buy it in near future) On 4/30/2020 at 9:15 AM, Didumos69 said: This is coming together quite nicely! Would it be an option to use a 3L axle with end-stop for the steering wheel and 8T gear? Thanks! Do you mean this solution? ArsMan064 Posted May 1, 2020 Author Posted May 1, 2020 I came into the problem, that I haven't necessary red parts to built the doors (top border). For this reason I want to ask for advise: which color I should choose to rebuild my model? Only yellow, white or black Thank you! Quote
SaperPL Posted May 1, 2020 Posted May 1, 2020 Don't go with black if you can. Black is easy to hide black studs and may be treated as such. Also other colours will show the details better, I think. And of course with wrangler, there's that contrast part with black pieces. Quote
Didumos69 Posted May 1, 2020 Posted May 1, 2020 (edited) +1 If you go with black, you lose the contrast between fenders and body. So I'd say yellow or white, but keep the fenders black. Yellow is my favorite. Edited May 1, 2020 by Didumos69 Quote
Rudivdk Posted May 1, 2020 Posted May 1, 2020 +1 for yellow. Like in that picture, not only with black bumpers/fenders but also black roof and rear window part. But... your hood will then not be possible like this as the mini-panels (#21/22) are not yet available in yellow (they come in 2020 2h with Volvo dumptruck)... Quote
brickless_kiwi Posted May 1, 2020 Posted May 1, 2020 I feel your pain as I'd like to do any other color than black as everything just blends in. Could a black roof with black door tops be a option. Yellow would be very nice. Quote
ArsMan064 Posted May 4, 2020 Author Posted May 4, 2020 Thank you all for your replies. Of course, I will save fenders and roof in black Now I have this On 5/1/2020 at 11:27 PM, Rudivdk said: But... your hood will then not be possible like this as the mini-panels (#21/22) are not yet available in yellow (they come in 2020 2h with Volvo dumptruck)... Yes... But we have light bright orange panels, that may be useful in hood, or I will rebuild a bit hood Quote
jorgeopesi Posted May 4, 2020 Posted May 4, 2020 (edited) I do not like too much your mechanisms because everything seem to fragile for my taste but the bodywork is awesome. Edited May 4, 2020 by jorgeopesi Quote
Rudivdk Posted May 4, 2020 Posted May 4, 2020 U could also use LBG or DBG mini panels to mimic some unfinished stainless steel teardrop plates. Quote
ArsMan064 Posted May 7, 2020 Author Posted May 7, 2020 Hello! Thank you all for comments On 5/4/2020 at 12:57 PM, jorgeopesi said: I do not like too much your mechanisms because everything seem to fragile for my taste but the bodywork is awesome. To be honest, model is pretty robust except front axle. I want rebuild it in future Well, I think I am pretty near to finish Front parts is still red, not for a long time) Rear suspension is work very nice. All doors now are openable. Also side doors are removable I came to the problem, that making removable roof will me pretty complicated without plenty of system parts. I should think about it really good... Quote

While I was recolouring front part, I also tried to rebuild front suspension to make it truly independed axle. And I managed it! Now suspension of model is full torsion Quote
ArsMan064 Posted May 11, 2020 Author Posted May 11, 2020 Hello! Here is it I rebuilt a hood, now it looks pretty nice Also I made dashboard Glove box is here Jeep Wrangler is not Jeep Wrangler without cool suspension But I still have a problem with a roof. Should I try to make a roof? On the one hand, without roof here is pretty comfortable access to gearbox, on the other hand - model looks undone without it. Or not? Thank you for reading! Quote
Rudivdk Posted May 11, 2020 Posted May 11, 2020 I would make a simple flat removable roof (Technic panels, maybe System plates+tiles even?) that you could just lay on top of the build, maybe 1 or 2 (axle-)pins to hold it in place. Like the hardtop in my own entry. Don't make it too hard on yourself, simple is sometimes best. Quote
SilenWin Posted May 12, 2020 Posted May 12, 2020 Really nice work with all functions and interior details, true hypercar in an off-roader body Removable roof would be a great option, but even without it this car looks so pretty! Quote
ArsMan064 Posted May 13, 2020 Author Posted May 13, 2020 Thank you for comments. Of course firstly I was going to make the roof removable. Problem in thickness of roof: if roof was removable, it should be around 0.5 stud thick Quote
1gor Posted May 13, 2020 Posted May 13, 2020 It looks great on yellow, I really like front part and rear part and they are very recognizable Quote

agrof Posted May 14, 2020 Posted May 14, 2020 Yellow and the Mustang wheels work very well! I agree with the others, make a super simply removable roof in black, and you are done. Quote
