"The silooth are mutated from beetles. Long ago, the Sith scattered them across the world of Kalsunor. The click of their mandible became a dire drumbeat. These tank-sized scavengers can still be found on the planet, melting its ruined cities with sprays of acid. The Sith keep swarms of them in reserve for another campaign."
―Sorzus Syn, Chronicle of Sorzus Syn
Farantros narrative:
I'm not much of a believer in playing God. The Lord Mayor of Klerint is. Though I could be mistaken, he probably just thinks that he is God. And that is why that crazy son of a bantha woke up one morning looked in the mirror and said to himself: 'You know what would be a really good idea? Lets find some ancient sith warbeast that spits acid, lays waste to cities and is covered in spikes, genetically engineer it to be even more dangerous, transport it halfway across the galaxy and then make a bunch of diplomats who want to win my favour come out into the toxic wastelands of Deysum and hunt it with me. What a kniffing little Stupa! Well at least me and Charlie aren't like the bunch of half-witted diplomats in our hunting party. We've got three casualties already. The Mayor had released four genetically engineered Silooth and between us we had to hunt and kill them. Luckily, the Triumvirate had supplied some credits in their budget for me and charlie to get some specialised outfits and weaponry. It wasn't too hard a hunt to be honest. I even took one of them out - a clean shot right between the eyes. While the rest of us are on the ground dodging acid spray and pincers, the Mayor flys around on a specialised hunting platform with a droid chauffeur. Seriously, he can't even be bothered to hunt properly.  I have little patience for the bureaucrat, he's a means to an end but once the Triumvirate controls Deysum, I'll make sure that I won't have to hear his whiny voice ever again.

A closer look at the platform

Well this one has green landscaping, keeping up the interesting colours (though I do not like it as much as the blue). However, the main focus is clearly the silooth, which was not an easy task and features some really weird parts. For a little fun I will attach a list of unusual parts to find in the build - there are quite a few.

If you would like to see more angles of the Silooth just ask!

Wow. That's some great use of all those red parts! I didn't even know the boat came in red. I really like how you made those half-circle bush things. Overall an enjoyable build to look at!

I would suggest some work on your base though. The stark difference from the green terrain to the light and then dark gray stands out like a sore thumb. Maybe you were trying to go for a layered bed-rock approach, but I think you would have been better off with just 1 color. Green would have been the best choice, but I understand not everyone has that much green plate (I sure don't)! For the Silooth, you've done a good job working on the transition from the boat to the rest of the body. But it still looks too much like a boat. Not sure I could do much better with that part. But if you're looking to improve that's something I would try to do again.

But really, a fantastic entry and I'm glad you tackled the Silooth!

Thanks, I'm definitely going to change the colours on the base, I reckon I can get away with the lighter shades, but I agree the dark green is a little too stark. I also agree that it is a little more like a boat than I wanted but I don't think I'll change that because I would rather use that piece than try a different approach which I think equally might not work. The Silooth was certainly fun to build, but I stumbled upon it completely by mistake as Though that the praetorian guard helmets looked like mandibles and worked from there.

Glad you like it!

Repeat comment, but I just have to mention the creativity of the creature. There's definitely room for improvement on the scene, but that creature is solid (maybe not solid, but really well done)!
