Bob Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 Players Only Please in your anonymous accounts! Make sure you change your password! Day One: A New Beginning It was a brand new day at Fort Eldorado. The garrison arrived and stood at attention to hear the Governor's daily speech. Liam, one of the last holdovers of the reshuffle, finished putting the flag up. "Wheee!" he said. "Flaggy and I are happy to be in this game too!" "I have very sad news." Governor Broadside started. "Once again our fort has been infiltrated by traitors. This time, though, the dastardly Redbeard isn't behind it. Our arch-enemies, the Imperial Guards, have sent in their forces!" "Oh no!" everyone shouted in unison. "Since mafia worked so well for us last time, we're going to do it again!" Meanwhile... At the Imperial Fort... "Governor. Our forces have successfully infiltrated the Soldiers' base." a Lieutenant said. "Excellent. Soon my master plan will be realized." "Are you going to tell us the master plan?" "No." --- Day One has now begun! There are 96 hours left in this day. With 16 players, a majority of 9 is required to sent someone to the firing line. Players (16): Governor Broadside - NPC Remi Blaise - Captain of the Caribbean Clipper Jean Pelley - Lieutenant, First Mate Fred Dumont - Lieutenant Peter Lyon - Lieutenant of the Fort Michael Lavoie - Seaman Daniel Lucas - Seaman Trenton Monette - Sergeant Justin Reynaud - Soldier Emmett Ware - Soldier Andrew Laurent - Soldier Aiden Leon - Soldier Joshua Levitt - Soldier Alex Howe - Soldier Fabien Bellamy - Trumpeter Vincent Denis - Tubist Robin Tremblay - Conductor Rules (VERY IMPORTANT):1) Every player has received their own character account. Make sure you do not post in thread with your normal Eurobricks account. This game is anonymous, you are not to disclose your character anywhere on the forums. In thread, you must not say who you actually are. 2) In addition, it is a bit of an honor rule that you do not share who you are to any other player, even if they are on your team, in private.3) You are either a Loyal Soldier or an Imperial Guard. The town need to eliminate the scum and the scum need to outnumber the town. In the hopefully unlikely event of a parity, the scum will win. Any third party characters have their own win conditions.4) There are no recruits or any action similar in this game.5) A game day will last 96 hours. You may vote as soon as the day starts. Note, even if a majority vote is achieved, the day will not end early. Nights will last at most 48 hours, during which you can send in your night actions. If the day length needs to be shortened at any time, I will make that decision. 5a) Do not talk about the game outside of the threads. You can only PM during the night phase, please, including scum.6) The alignment of players who have been lynched, as well as those who may have died during the night, will be revealed at the beginning of the next day. This includes the details of your character and role, as well as any night actions results. Role claims and reporting of results are acceptable, but in your own words only.8) If you die, you may not post in thread or discuss the game with any players. Trenton Monette Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 Morning Crew! Let's catch those pesky Imperial Guards!
Daniel Lucas Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 Indeed, Sergeant Monette. For the sake of the investigation I'll be heading down to the Clipper's cargo hold to check out our rum supplies. Surely someone has to stand guard, not to let any unauthorized personal infil-hic-trate those as well.
Jean Pelley Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 Bonsoir, mes amis! C'est le giraffe, le pelley, et moi!
Robin Tremblay Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 1 hour ago, Jean Pelley said: Bonsoir, mes amis! C'est le giraffe, le pelley, et moi! Who is a giraffe?
Remi Blaise Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 1 hour ago, Jean Pelley said: Bonsoir, mes amis! C'est le giraffe, le pelley, et moi! This is the Caribbean Clipper, not the ark.
Vincent Denis Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 *Fwom fwom fwomma fwom fwom* Either I've lost my mind or you guys are experiencing some sort of mass halluciantion. Giraffes? Boats? I thought we were in a fortress. *Fwom fwomma fwom fwom fwom fwomma fwomma fwom fwom fwoooom fwooooooooom fwoooooooooooooooooooom*
Andrew Laurent Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 5 hours ago, Trenton Monette said: Morning Crew! Let's catch those pesky Imperial Guards! Really, is that what we're supposed to do? Perhaps *you* are one of those Guards and trying to act townie? Hm? 5 hours ago, Daniel Lucas said: Indeed, Sergeant Monette. That is not how a soldier behaves. 2 hours ago, Vincent Denis said: *Fwom fwom fwomma fwom fwom* Already drunk on duty? Or another traitor? 5 hours ago, Jean Pelley said: Bonsoir, mes amis! C'est le giraffe, le pelley, et moi! Obviously a traitor! Here at Fort Eldorado, we speak the Queen's English. Not that scummy French.
Emmett Ware Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 So we have a drunk, someone throwing around paranoid accusations, a potential giraffe sighting, and someone with a gas problem. I've got a bad feeling about this.
Daniel Lucas Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 Don't mind old Andrew, just un vieux infantryman accus-Hic-ing around. Probably a bit jelly of me, having zero permission to come aboard. Also I'm pretty sure we're supposed to be the la Marine française.
Alex Howe Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 I knew this posting would be full of excitement! Already, exotic animals and lively seamen! We'll get those scummy Imperial Guards in no time, I have no doubt! Mr Laurent sir, I think Mr Denis is just pumping his pipes for a good long blow later! I'm sure he will put on such a great rousing performance for us! Captain Blaise sir! Permission to ride the giraffe!?
Remi Blaise Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 Just now, Alex Howe said: Captain Blaise sir! Permission to ride the giraffe!? Granted. Just give me a minute to grab an ale and a good spot to watch the show from.
Justin Reynaud Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 Quoi, no one wants to ride the pelican? Si non, maybe we can cook him and get some fresh food!
Fred Dumont Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 47 minutes ago, Remi Blaise said: Granted. Just give me a minute to grab an ale and a good spot to watch the show from. He will be bucked off faster than you can say “giraffe.”
Fabien Bellamy Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 Taratatatataatta! Wake up! Oh, never mind. Have you found the bastards yet? Looks like we can start voting right away. But many of us have yet to speak up, so I'm not in any hurry. Looks like the rum stores have been compromised already, with all this talk of long necks and seamen. My, what have we got ourselves into again.

I've been blowing since I was a wee lad and I've always blown short and controlled. You never want to blow long, you'll pass out. Short blows are good blows, no double entendre intended. @Justin Reynaud I wonder what the French word is for entendre? *Fwom fwom fwomma fwomma fwoooom fwoooooooom fwoooooooooooooooom*

My, what have we got ourselves into again. Nooo cher Fabien, nothing is compromi(hickityhic)sed here! Twenty barrels still intact, I mean... nineteen. Did I say twenty, vingt? Silly me, probably just a miscount. Also you speak la vérité, beacoup de fellow soldats still not en service. I'll be here keep guarding(hic) until nothing surfaces.
Aiden Leon Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 Oh dear. All this French has my head spinning. Is it French? His name is Jean so surely it is... And I despair that that there shan't be a fair pint for a lad such as myself who indulges himself at the proper time which be when ones shift is done. Surely I could join you as now you are merry and later you will slumber, but nay I must resist as I am a man of little wit who should attempt to retain what little they have.
Peter Lyon Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 Mr. Lucas, as Lieutenant of this fort, I require that 5 barrels be brought from the Clipper to my quarters for a thorough customs inspection. Tout suite!
Bob Posted April 5, 2020 Author Posted April 5, 2020 "Say Patrick." Captain Blaise started. "You're an NPC. Why is Redbeard still alive? Surely he should've been killed off last game when his team lost." "Ah, well he's what is known as an essential NPC." Patrick explained. "He can't die anymore than I or the Governor can." "Pipe down you traitor, you. I'm trying to enjoy the sounds of the ocean." "Do you ever move? You've been standing there since the start of the last game." Patrick asked. "There's not much else to do in here. Classic Pirates didn't afford any luxuries like beds or chairs in their prisons." --- A bit over 72 hours remains in this day! With 16 players, a majority of 9 is required to lynch.
Justin Reynaud Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 As I stand watch at my post, I reflect on the antics of my fellow soldiers. Everyone at the fort seems fairly subdued. Perhaps they heard about what happened during the hunt for Redbeard's traitors. Only one person, Old Andrew, seems quick to point fingers today. Or maybe it's the touch of la maladie that seems to be sweeping our fair world keeping everyone more reserved. I shall continue to stand watch and munch on my bite of pelican jerky.
Andrew Laurent Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 16 hours ago, Alex Howe said: Captain Blaise sir! Permission to ride the giraffe!? And here am I, looking for traitors, and others are getting drunk and riding animals like it's the festival. Bah, who am I kidding. That giraffe ride looks awesome. Can I have a turn?
Fred Dumont Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 Sorry everyone, I was taking a quick nap up on the masts. It's quite peaceful up there. If I may suggest getting on to official business, what are everyone's thoughts on lynching or no lynching on Day 1? I've read in past annals this discussion happens all the time, I figured let's get it out of the way early before we're scrambling around.
Emmett Ware Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 I don't see how we can make an informed decision to lynch today, unless it's someone who is AWOL. Is anyone AWOL? At the very least, we can't lynch the giraffe, I don't think we have a high enough yardarm to do it.
