filsawgood Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 Hello there! And welcome to the AMC Pacer's page. I want to build an ambitious model of AMC Pacer 1975-1979, as if overfed with proteins in adolescence. And what will come of it - time will tell. Quote
brickless_kiwi Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 I like the front end and the v8 snaps spy photos.... Quote
filsawgood Posted April 8, 2020 Author Posted April 8, 2020 Another one sketch. Worked a little with shape of the body Quote
filsawgood Posted April 26, 2020 Author Posted April 26, 2020 Work in progress. The chassis is ready, the engine too, now I’m finalizing the safety cage and the body is next in turn. Quote
Shtykoff Posted April 26, 2020 Posted April 26, 2020 Very cool start, especially I I like that giant engine Quote
Seasider Posted April 26, 2020 Posted April 26, 2020 Love the chassis work, some very good touches. Is the body going to open up like a funny car? Quote
filsawgood Posted April 26, 2020 Author Posted April 26, 2020 Just now, Seasider said: Love the chassis work, some very good touches. Is the body going to open up like a funny car? Thanks! No, body will consist of 3 parts, but without "openupable" features :) Just now, Shtykoff said: Very cool start, especially I I like that giant engine Thanks! Quote
Thirdwigg Posted April 26, 2020 Posted April 26, 2020 Gonna add a periscope so the driver can see past that engine? ? Looks great so far. I love the turned around mustang wheels. Quote

I love the turned around mustang wheels. hah! Good idea!! :)) Although, if we think about it, this is where to watch a dragster racer while he drives 1/4 mile for some seconds, especially when you are literally smeared on the back of the seat from frantic acceleration. Surely they start at random, blindly Quote
nerdsforprez Posted April 26, 2020 Posted April 26, 2020 Forget the car fitting in the competition's size restrictions...... will the engine? All jokes aside.... really like what you have done so far. Keep it up! I will be watching this one closely. Quote
1gor Posted April 26, 2020 Posted April 26, 2020 (edited) With this engine it reminds me on old matchbox series from late 1960s. Very original Edited May 2, 2020 by I_Igor Quote

filsawgood Posted April 28, 2020 Author Posted April 28, 2020 Some detailing... cockpit, NOX...Everything is ready for the race. Quote
filsawgood Posted May 2, 2020 Author Posted May 2, 2020 (edited) Today I completed work on the model. It remains to prepare it for release. Real car: Edited May 2, 2020 by filsawgood Quote
MegaRoi Posted May 3, 2020 Posted May 3, 2020 Great engine, nice details - and many of them. Not my favorite type of car but you captures the lines quite good. Rear axle seems to be too wide ... Quote

filsawgood Posted May 6, 2020 Author Posted May 6, 2020 The same AMC Pacer I looked at when building my model. I was impressed by the exhaust, so I tried to repeat it Quote
jshuiting Posted May 7, 2020 Posted May 7, 2020 That's sick! I'm loving all the details, especially the roll-cage! Great idea, and well excecuted! Quote
BusterHaus Posted May 7, 2020 Posted May 7, 2020 The details in this are great, and the light-and-airy build really conveys the weight stripping efforts. Awesome work. Quote
