PSPguy Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 My kitty cat (Cookie) has ran away or something and I am sad. The last time I saw her was this morning. Just thought I would share here. PSPguy is Quote
Ricecracker Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 How sad! I truly hope you find her! If she liked something in particular, maybe you could put it outside to lure her back? Quote
JINZONINGEN73 Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 Like George Carlin said (off the top of my head...) "When you get a new pet, you're just getting a future tragedy". I hate thinking how many pets I've had who aren't here any more. V__V Quote

I've had a bird fly away once, I know how you feel. Quote
Siegfried Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 Well, this is potentially sad news. but surely you realise cats do this all the time. If she's not back in a week, then I think you have more reason to be sad. Quote
Tarfful Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 (edited) Well, this is potentially sad news. but surely you realise cats do this all the time. If she's not back in a week, then I think you have more reason to be sad. I have to agree with Sinner here, my cat, Tigger, has run away for periods up to 3-4 days at a time. He also does this quite frequently, but he always comes home... eventually. Though that doesn't change the the worry you feel about getting your Cookie back home safely. I truly hope she comes back safe and sound. Also if you haven't tried it already, an open can of Tuna on the front step always seems to speed up the time it takes for my cat to come home. -Tarfful Edited May 15, 2008 by Tarfful Quote
Shadows Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 Like they've already said, no matter how domesticated they seem, cats are quite possibly the most wild of all the domesticated animals. Sometimes they just get the idea to go, and there is no stopping them. A few days later, they remember how much easier it is having someone wait on them and return home. Seriously, good luck! Also if you haven't tried it already, an open can of Tuna on the front step always seems to speed up the time it takes for my cat to come home. Not to mention every cat within a 3 mile range. Quote
LuxorV Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 As others said, it's not time to be sad yet. A friend of mine 'lost' his cat for half a week (and how upset he was!), and then, one evening as he was getting back home, he found her by the door, waiting to enter. They just do this. I'm quite sure she'll be back in a couple of days . LuxorV Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted May 16, 2008 Posted May 16, 2008 She'll get hungry and get back, don't be too upset yet! Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 She'll be back hopefully.... See, that's the benefit of hedgehogs. They're too fat and lazy to run away. That cage might also impede on that too. Quote
