Posted April 10, 20204 yr Hi everybody! So much time was spent for findings which model to build for the contest and finally found the best option for me. I believe you already know which model i am talking about, yep it is Mercedes AMG coupe. At this moment i am not 100% sure that it would be SLS AMG or it would AMG GT, but for sure it will be one of these models. Few words about specification: Wheels: 43.2x14 for front and 43.2x22 for rear drive Engine: V8 connected with rear axle Color: red Regarding functions, let it be a surprise for all of us. ;) Initial update spent one night for preparing the engine and the place for steering. April 10, 20204 yr I do love the AMG they make an amazing sound but they do try to kill you a lot! only word of caution is I think your engine is going to sit too high. At the scale you have you have 6 studs for total bonnet height and 4 at the nose. Ok the amg engine sits right against the bulkhead but I think if you look at how tall your engine is you’ll struggle. I know that I did on my build so far

I know that I did on my build so far I kept in mind this point, thanks for mentioning this, but current version of the engine should feet in the engine box sizes and also some space should be enough for hood, at least in my previous model i used an engine a bit higher(+1 stub) and it was on the same line with the hood, but now i lowered it (-1 stub). I believe we will see it so far.
April 11, 20204 yr Author Minor update, preliminary created a base for the model, tried to think how the function and their mechanism should look like, but for now it is ok for me. Edited April 11, 20204 yr by LoMaC

April 12, 20204 yr Author Probably for today it is enough, need to take a rest..?. So many attempts to build suitable mechanism for doors, i guess my fingers hate this model, and i have no idea how to build the roof..and the rear part, but maybe after refresh some ideas will come to my mind. April 24, 20204 yr Author Hi all since last update, i did a lot of iterations with doors and rear part, and on photos you can see the progress
April 24, 20204 yr Interesting solution for the doors, I like that out of the box thinking. The front is bit square and high. It does not ooze that sleek bonnetfeel from the real car. Is there a chance to lower the bonnet (at least at the front) with one stud? The rear is a bit cluttered, but given the scale and the amount of curves needed that will be hard to improve upon.
