syclone Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 (edited) Hello, here's a thing I've been working on and off for some time now. Started off a as drift car in 1/11th scale, but then just flowed down into a simple street tuner build. Itasha definition from Wikipedia - In Japan, an itasha is a car decorated with images of fictional characters of anime, manga, or video games. Features: Openable scissor doors, bonnet and boot NOS and TV screen in the boot Interior with steering wheel, bucket seats, "rollcage" and audio system. "Engine cover" with turbo and honeycomb airfilter RC via BuWizz Drive with 2x buggy motors from fastest output Steering with m-motor Custom graphics of C.C. from Code Geass (linked in my signature) as well as sparco, koni and buwizz "sponsor" decals Sorry for crappy photos, only have smartphone at hand. I'll try to film it driving indoors or sneak into the building's hallway today or tomorrow. Cya! Edited April 13, 2020 by syclone Quote
amorti Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 Buwizz, two RC motors, and not too much else to lug about? Looks like it'll shift Quote
johnnym Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 Nice lines all over the place! I like it very much. Cool usage of that lime "mudguard" pieces at the rear bumper, that looks really organic. TV screen in the boot - reminds me of the Nitro Intimidator. Quote
Gray Gear Posted April 10, 2020 Posted April 10, 2020 I absolutely love this The car looks just like something that could be found on a japanese car meet. Using 2 Buggy motors I bet she can scoot too The rear is giving me some Mitsubishi Eclipe vibes, and the dedailed engine bay with the turbocharged 4Banger is accurate. NOS System is cool, I first thought it was an air suspension system The only thing I dislike is the scissor door conversion, I just dont like people doing that, but it definatelly is something that can be found on a ricecooker like this Normally I absolutely hate stickers, but car wraps are different since they aren't used to represent details of the actual car. Impressive how well the sticker lines up even though the girl gets cut in half when the door opens Quote

I think you could improve the wing, your current wing is bit empty. It is possible to have more picture of the turbo ? If you doesn't mind, I have a Lego V10 in a dragbus and I would love to add two of your turbos ! Quote
syclone Posted April 12, 2020 Author Posted April 12, 2020 (edited) Thank very much for the kind comments, pleasured to know people liked it @metrapoliten It is a linkage system similar to those in recent lego sets and Return-to-Center is done via the white hockey spring @Nebulaire It is just two of the small wheels with pneumatic hose wrapped around and fixed using a t-piece. I'll see what I can do with the wing, not much red to work with ;-; I'll shoot a video tomorrow with the "drift" tires (taped up rear tires) as there's little space inside to drive normally (it was very fast last time I checked and since then not much weight has been added).
