Veynom Posted April 15, 2020 Posted April 15, 2020 (edited) And here lands my latest MOC ship: the Porax-42 Gunship. On-screen version: Porax-42c Gunship by Veynom, on Flickr Concept art version: Porax-42 Gunship by Veynom, on Flickr This gunship is based on The Mandalorian serie, and particularly episode 6 where it can been seen in a hangar at the end of the episode. It also appears among the concept arts. Note that the on-screen version is a bit different from the concept art, specifically the reactor pods front.Porax-42 Gunship by Veynom, on Flickr I decided to change the color code because I had a bit enough of the usual 50 shades of grey. I would have like trying a black and (dark) red color scheme but I lack the necessary curved slopes. Cylo Posted April 15, 2020 Posted April 15, 2020 Looks great! Reminds me of the rogue class starfighter. Quote
DrMuttonchops Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 Very well done, Veynom! Honestly when I watched the show I assumed it was a Rogue-class starfighter... Great job on the detail and shaping, it's a dead ringer for the concept art. I love seeing the old yellow engine pods (part 3475b?), they remind me of the ships I built as a kid! Does the landing gear retract? Any shots of the SNOT structure or cockpit? Also, what set has green binoculars?? Really excellent job man, thank you for posting! Quote
Mandalorianknight Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 Looks great! I like the brighter colours switching it up. Like @DrMuttonchops I believed this to be a rogue-class like Cad Bane's fighter, but it's cool to see it's a new one. I really like the technique with the guns that use this piece towards the base, as well as the binocular part by the cockpit. Quote
Veynom Posted April 16, 2020 Author Posted April 16, 2020 Thank you for the nice comments. This is not a Rogue-class fighter. The tails are much shorter on this one and the cockpit has a different shape. But it is similar, it's true. The Rogue-class is derived from the Porax-38. As this one is more recent, I simply increase the number. And 42 is the best answer anyway. ? The landing gears are fixed and do not retract. But they can easily be removed. I'm even considering creating the LDD. Quote

From the old toy story line, it came with some army men in a "battle pack" of sorts. 33 minutes ago, Veynom said: Thank you for the nice comments. This is not a Rogue-class fighter. Veynom Posted April 29, 2020 Author Posted April 29, 2020 I've added a digital render of the on-screen version to the original post. And here is a bonus picture: Hangar Bay for Porax-42 by Veynom, on Flickr Quote
