With such a new theme I was not expecting an entire wave like this? Its a size able wave with decent prices. With how out there the concepts were for a lot of the characters and the nature of a boom box set with in-app features, I have no expectations for these sets. Ice-Cream Mermaids inside Beat-Boxes that serve play features for a phone game came out of left field for me. These sets can be absolutely anything. Just shocked they invested so many new moulds AND heavy set prices to such a new theme. I think there were rumors of a stage? Very excited to see what this is. Yeah, a continuation of the bandmates series and new beatboxes for the music genres yet to be represented by one were expected but sets at $30, $50, $60, and $100!?! Hopefully that means they might actually make more fleshed out sets and hopefully they're good but wow, I definitely wouldn't have expected this. What on earth could the $100 set be and how could it possibly be justified for a theme that's all about minifigs interacting with a gimmicky little app? Edited March 3, 2021 by ToaDraco Quote

Judging by the prices of the current beatboxes, it will propably be just one minifig in a slightly larger box built... Quote
DuckBricks Posted March 3, 2021 Posted March 3, 2021 I can't possible imagine what the sets above $19.99 could be; it's so strange. It would be a really nice treat to get "themed stages" around different classic LEGO themes (so far there's been groupings of space, pirates, "spooky," animal, etc) and getting some sort of pirates or space-themed build, even if it is a stage dressed as a spaceship or pirate shipwreck, would be really great and a true treat for people who could repurpose the sets into actual retro-throwback builds... but who am I kidding, it's gonna be 100 random 2x2 printed tiles and a massive carrying case, isn't it Quote

Does anyone think one of the other beatboxes will have a Classical theme? Although I can’t imagine kids having interest in 200-300 year old music (although I did at 16/17 and still do now) Quote

It would be a different type of bus & would fit in the theme. Quote
sunhuntin Posted March 4, 2021 Posted March 4, 2021 Opened a box of the figs, and some of the same characters had different tiles. Some only had one, others two. So I ended up with 14 more different tiles than expected. Also, mine all came with the same code on the tape. Quote

Yeah it seems the Series is back to feeling like a gamble thats hard to complete. I was so excited about the codes and figure order I swore I would finally be able to complete the series in peace. Major disappointment. Quote
Megbricks Posted March 5, 2021 Posted March 5, 2021 But i thought each row had a full series!? I took the first ten from one side and got all different ones. Quote

An unpleasant aspect of it is that, how can one be sure that nobody picked up any boxes and/or changed the order of the figures in a seemingly untouched box? Quote
sunhuntin Posted March 5, 2021 Posted March 5, 2021 My box order matched the one in the image that is circulating. 8 hours ago, BrickHat said: Here died the last hopes of those who wanted to identify the figures in stores. Instead of the Ice Cream guy being at the very front and the Werewolf at the back, the Werewolf was in the front and Ice Cream guy in the back (with all the minifigs in between being reversed too - like a mirror image). It is likely that they are trying to trick us. If I was LEGO I would make more boxes like that some which has the normal order on 1 side and the mirror on the other side. Quote
Pchan1983 Posted March 6, 2021 Posted March 6, 2021 Just opened my box. Looks like each minifigures are positioned at the same place in both rows in one box. Anyone know how many variations of the beatbits tiles are there? I find it to be much harder to collect these. By the one the blind box package kinda grow on me slowly. I know it took away the fun of bag feeling but I like it when I open the box all the blind boxes lined up perfectly XD Quote
ToaDraco Posted March 6, 2021 Posted March 6, 2021 I found an untouched case at my local Target and pulled the 6th box from the back trying to get the Shark Singer but ended up getting the Banshee Singer which is fine, it was still one I wanted just not my favorite. Quote

Like Dots, there's going to be more in successive waves. Quote
sunhuntin Posted March 7, 2021 Posted March 7, 2021 Thank you! Been trying to see how many there are so far. Quote
karrit Posted March 8, 2021 Posted March 8, 2021 When I was in Target yesterday they had a handful of the Vidiyo blind boxes on the shelf. Noticed above the barcode on the back there is a printed number. Some ended with 45 & the rest ended with 49. Has anyone determined why they have different numbers? I didn't buy any. Quote
makoy Posted March 8, 2021 Posted March 8, 2021 I don't understand why there is not much information for Vidiyo for Asia. A little official information when it will be released will be helpful. Quote

JJ Tong (zfogshooterz) Posted March 8, 2021 Posted March 8, 2021 (edited) Glad to know that there are actually going to be full fledged sets aside from the Beatboxes and Bandmates! I'm definitely curious to know how these sets are going to make up the world of Vidiyo and what gimmicks (aside from the app) are going to be used for features. ToaDraco Posted March 8, 2021 Posted March 8, 2021 The sets actually sound pretty good! Hopefully they're worth it and aren't hindered by app compatibility as I have no doubt they'll be able to be used with the app. Having proper sets will go a long way toward the success and longevity of the theme, at least for a couple years. Robert8 Posted March 8, 2021 Author Posted March 8, 2021 (edited) Candy Claste?! I assume there will be at least another candy-theme minifigure to go with the mermaid and the ice cream dude I wonder if there will be a horror set coming at some point for the Banshee and the Werewolf Edited March 8, 2021 by Robert8 Quote
1980-Something-Space-Guy Posted March 8, 2021 Posted March 8, 2021 Pirate ship sounds exciting. I didn't like the existing pirate much, though, so we'll see what happens when pictures come up. Quote
