Tezclatipoca Posted April 29, 2020 Posted April 29, 2020 *Your entry has earned 8 XP* [Factions Ep. 5 - Cat B][ Q10 - Yitabo - CFS] Trap for the Dragonsnake of the irrigation system The agrarian works in Yitabo had been late this year and the promissed yields to be lower than ever. This was mainly due to a deficit of irrigation in all the western plantations. The location was known to be swampy and regularly flooded and infestated, so Fil App Ladrin decided to bring a crew to inspect the area. Just in case... What was his surprise when he learned the Irrigation system was down because of the fear of the workers. They were terrified since some of them disappeared in the marsh like swallowed from the waters. It was rumored there were a monster or a Dragon swimming in the muddy waters of the swamps. Fil App Ladrin decided to organize a trap to lure an eventual beast lurking beneath the surface. He chose a quite clear spot and relatively plane enough to deploy all the team with its equipment, and then posted his crew just at the bank of the swamp. At this spot, his trustfull second settled a full powered turret able to shot at the eventual creature. And, finally, Fil himself would deploy his wing to achieve the job from a higher (and safer) position. The rest of the crew would (unfortunately for them...) be use as baits ...erh... well, sorry; would spread baits all around to lure the monster. The result was effectively surprising ! As it was a Gigantic Dragonsnake which took taste to those baits but the beast rapidly tryed to eat the entire crew, better at his taste than the baits... The turret fired quickly all its power but Fil intervention was more than necessary and it took all his flight abilities and all his skills at firing a blaster to finally shot down the Dragon. Thanks to Fil App Ladrin and his crew, the Irrigation system was finally safe and the plantation could grow in better conditions ! This is my Cat B Entry for this contest. Hope you'll like it ! The Dragonsnake was very inspiring for me; I hope I can use it for this category. in the spoiler : the Wookiepedia link about Dragonsnake : Spoiler https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Dragonsnake/Legends Quote
Tariq j Posted April 30, 2020 Posted April 30, 2020 Lovely work on the water and the Dragon body. I think the SNOT base works very well. Quote
Beleg the Ranger Posted April 30, 2020 Posted April 30, 2020 Great job! As others have said, the Dragon is wonderful. The base, also is excellent, making good use of the sideways wall technique. Quote
Tezclatipoca Posted April 30, 2020 Author Posted April 30, 2020 Thank you to all of you guys ! I even designed a tail for the dragon; but it's not really correctly fitting and the landscape wasn't big enough to put it correctly; so I'll keep it for a future LEGO Event (I hope) in October... Quote
MKJoshA Posted April 30, 2020 Posted April 30, 2020 Great take on a Dragonsnake! I love your use of wing pieces. Are the ones by the head from a Batman set or an Elves set? I don't think I've seen them before. I think it was a good idea to leave the tail off for your entry. The build already feels a little cramped. More terrain would have helped, though I know your personal collection may not allow for that. The transition between land and water is also a little rough. Have the land a little higher would really help to differentiate between the two. But overall a very nice entry! Quote
Darth Bjorn Posted May 1, 2020 Posted May 1, 2020 Super cool dragon! The overall build seems a little busy - many color variations in both snake and scene. But great details and really good build all around! ? Quote

Yes it's a little cramped but you guessed well. My collection limited me for the swamp design... I reached my dark green and trans bricks limit so quickly ! Quote
dvogon Posted May 3, 2020 Posted May 3, 2020 I really like this Dragonsnake! The head is very detailed and convincing. Great work! Quote
