Capt Wolf Posted May 12, 2020 Posted May 12, 2020 The sign-up deadline for the next Trade MRCA is May 26, midnight, anywhere in the world. ---------------- To sign-up for the Trade MRCA, read the rules here and then sign-up via this form. For a ship to take part in the MRCA, it must be licensed. You can license your ship under the new ship rules via this form. If there are any issues (typo, wrong number of points or other issues) with this process, PM @Bregir. Note that the MRCA signup form still doesn’t have raids added yet, so if you’re interested in conducting a raid this turn, PM @Capt Wolf. If you’re just going to be trading, you can go ahead and fill out the forms normally. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- IMPORTANT NEW MAP ZONE INFORMATION: - Note that zone 34 connects to zone 36 - Explorers confirm that the open sea south of zone 35 is navigable. As such, a new zone (zone 62) is available for travel in the MRCA. The new zone 62 connects to zones 33, 35, 37, and 38. Cartographers are working to get the maps updated as soon as possible. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In addition to the new information above, consult the following two maps for trade zone numbers before submitting any forms. First, the one you're all familiar with: IMPORTANT: Note that if you click on the above map to go to one you can zoom in on, there is an error on the linked map (zones 10 and 11 are mislabeled). Use the map visible above for proper zone labels. Second, the New Haven Sea now has several settlements -- Carno's Neustadt in zone 38, Eslandola's Chiquita in zone 36 and Interlagos in zone 41, and Corrington's Spudkirk in zone 43 and Proxyville in zone 49, as well secret Carno and Lotus settlements on the island of El Oleonda -- so this map is now open for the trade MRCA: But beware! Carno and the Lotus Kingdom are engaged in hostilities in the south. Dangers abound. Watch out for Lotus naval patrols! NOTE REGARDING CHALLENGE III, Cat. D: If you are participating in the t-MRCA part of Category D in Challenge III, The Battle for El Oleonda, make sure to send your privateer ship(s) through zones that you think would likely have Lotus or Carno ships. If the ships you want to use are currently too far away to reach the New Haven Sea by normal means, PM @Capt Wolf and you can move their starting point to facilitate getting into some action right away on the high seas for Cat D. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And here are the trade values as of October 18, 619 (trade values for NPC and Old World ports are as of February 14, 619, and the very new settlements haven't had their trade values updated yet). When filling out your MRCA form, please make sure you spell the ports exactly as they appear below. But this is for pirates only. Ships not flying the black visiting Barracuda Bay will likely be captured by Captain Roger Redbeard! . Quote
Keymonus Posted May 12, 2020 Posted May 12, 2020 Wow, a lot of new opportunities and dangers! I think that the trade value of the new settlements is not, however, a great issue... usually people don’t go in remote snd godforsaken outposts for money! Quote
Fraunces Posted May 14, 2020 Posted May 14, 2020 Maybe add this thread to the main threads and (or lock this one, I don't know how it's called). And "unlock" the other tMRCA posts. Quote

Phred used to be our designated "pinner". Quote

Beleg the Ranger Posted May 15, 2020 Posted May 15, 2020 The flagship on the form is the flagship that you own, correct? Quote
Keymonus Posted May 15, 2020 Posted May 15, 2020 18 minutes ago, Beleg the Ranger said: The flagship on the form is the flagship that you own, correct? The flagship is the commanding ship and the one giving the name to the convoy (the Black Pearl fleet, the HMS Victory convoy…). Basically it means that if want one or more ships to sail together, you have to choose a ship as flagship (it can also belong to another player if you are joining his convoy). Instead, if you sail with one ship only, you have to use it as flagship (it is both for an easier managing of the forms and for clarity in storytelling… do two ships sailing along the same route belong to the same fleet? If one is attacked, will the second intervene/escape independently or will follow the orders of the flagship?). I hope it is clear, otherwise feel free to ask more! Quote
Bregir Posted May 15, 2020 Posted May 15, 2020 A quick clarification: Each convoy is one entry in the forms. *ALL* participating ships should be in the form under "ships". One of those should be appointed flagship. (so the flagship should be entered twice) It may not be perfect, but it works! :) Quote
Beleg the Ranger Posted May 15, 2020 Posted May 15, 2020 Ok. That's what I thought, but I needed some clarification. Sometime soon I will register my first ever sailing ship. Quote
