Ramses25 Posted May 20, 2020 Posted May 20, 2020 I present you my Imperial TIE/Ln Fighter MOC. It's the final result of years of work and redisigns. The purpose was to made a very detailed MOC, but swooshable, playable and keeping a lot of parts from the set 75211 TIE Fighter to keep the part costs as low as possible. You can see I get some inspirations from other MOC's as Jerac's wing pylones for example ;)https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-42809/Ramses25/tieln-fighter/?inventory=1#comments I don't plan to make money from this MOC, I give the instructions here for free. But if you want to support me and my work, don't hesistate to contact me ! I also designed a TIE Inteceptor and a TIE Striker. Instructions are on the way so stay tuned ! ERRATA : there is two minors mistakes in the instructions. I'm new with this thing ! ^^ : - the X2 logo page 111should be page 104 - the X2 logo page 165 shoud be page 159 Thanks for reading ! Quote
DrMuttonchops Posted May 20, 2020 Posted May 20, 2020 Very very nice! To me it's similar to Rebel Builder's in that at first glance it LOOKS like it could be an official set, but you've brought it way above and beyond the Solo set! Great shaping of the cockpit and pylons, and think that's about as good as you can get while still sticking with the cockpit size of the official set. Excellent job with the black hole port thing in the back (I can't remember what it does), much better than just a 6x6 dish with a grill tile! I love the amount of detail you crammed into the cockpit as well. Good job on the wings, it's not easy to tell but they do look like Jerac's! I like that you kept the wedge plate (27928) on the pylons from the Solo set too. My only minor criticism would be that the bottom of the cockpit seems to extend a few studs too far down and it makes the sphere a little oval towards the bottom. Great job other than that, I look forward to seeing your interceptor and especially your Striker! Quote
mcphatty Posted May 21, 2020 Posted May 21, 2020 This is great! I love the overall shaping, as good as all the smooth MOCs can be it’s always great to see a traditionally blocky design like this that’s been done well. You’ve managed to get the ‘arms’ nice and thin but with all the support shaping and the back of the ball is spot on. Very nice, can’t wait to see the interceptor :) Quote
