I didn’t pay attention very close to LOTR forum. I thought they did say there woul dbe more sets coming in. Quote

There will be 4 sets plus a polybag, all launched in May at Smyths and June everywhere. Now the question is what the other 2024 movie is, since Falconfan hinted at multiple films this year getting the LEGO treatment Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted January 23, 2024 Posted January 23, 2024 (edited) Well, looks like we’re getting two additional themes this year, both implied to be licensed (and not based on video games): Codename “Buffalo”: 76780 (10+) 76781 (10+) Codename “Bright”: 75681 (7+) 75682 (9+) 75683 (9+) 75684 (8+) WHAT IS GOING ON THIS YEAR Edited January 23, 2024 by BrickBob Studpants Quote

Makes sense, since Transformers was hinted at as a theme According to Brickmerge, all of these launch in October. Quote

I am curious about what "Bright" could be (it is not Duplo or 4+ considering the ages) - What is coming out later this year that LEGO would make sets for? BTW, as much as I would love for it to happen, I think that we can rule out AtLA since that is dropping at the end of February. 😕 Quote
Bloquerto Posted January 23, 2024 Posted January 23, 2024 TandNBricks seems to hint that Buffalo is a popular Netflix IP so my guess is Stranger Things though I would love to get One Piece Live Action sets. An Going Merry and a Marine battleship set would be so cool! Quote

Also, both themes have 10+ sets at most, so ST can be ruled out Maybe it’s ATLA after all, albeit way too late Quote

And you are right, we can ruled out Stranger Things. Now I hope is One Piece Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted January 23, 2024 Posted January 23, 2024 Also, he said „new IP”. Does he mean for LEGO (well, duh) or new in general, i.e., a recent IP? Can’t think of too many popular exclusive family-friendly IPs Netflix has in its catalogue… Quote

I would bet on ATLA over One Piece, since LEGO has already done it (albeit nearly twenty years ago!) and since there have been a number of Ideas submissions for the property. 3 minutes ago, Legocentrico said: ???????????? :-( Avatar: The Last Airbender, live-action One Piece. I agree, especially since Netflix has always been pretty slow to capitalize on merchandise for their shows until they know they have a hit. Especially toys, etc. for more family/kid-oriented shows. If 2024 brings us LEGO Zelda and Last Airbender, it’ll be one of the best years ever for me. Quote
latenightguy Posted January 23, 2024 Posted January 23, 2024 Both themes are reportedly aimed at girls, which seems to point towards Wednesday being the Netflix IP. Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted January 23, 2024 Posted January 23, 2024 Hopefully we still get minifigs in that case, otherwise I‘m not interested Quote

Kaijumeister Posted January 23, 2024 Posted January 23, 2024 (edited) Funnily enough, the latest ATLA trailer dropped today as well… https://youtu.be/ByAn8DF8Ykk?feature=shared Quite a coincidence that a hint of a new Netflix show theme drops the same day, but I guess the girl-centric hint debunks it anyway. The Buffalo sets are rated 10+ and the Bright ones are all between 7+ and 9+ – Wednesday is very much a teen show, so I don’t think it’s that either. And what does ‘aimed at girls’ even mean in this instance? Are both themes minidoll based or has Lego finally realized we like minifigs just fine too? I could probably go on a whole rant about how the need to gender properties like this is detrimental for kids and everyone should be allowed to like what they want with all sorts of asides about sexism in media and how it’s bad for kids of all genders, but this isn’t really the place for that. Quote
Agent Kallus Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 Wednesday would make some sense for a Netflix theme. Or maybe Hilda? But ignoring the Netflix hint my hopes would be Doctor Who, Percy Jackson, D & D, Zelda non-Icons lotr sets... But Avatar would be cool I'd prefer sets based on the original cartoon ( or Korra) than the new live action but maybe the live action show could be an excuse to revisit the cartoon. Quote
