Murdoch17 Posted July 15, 2024 Posted July 15, 2024 (edited) I'm gonna say this once: Disney TV show sets in minifigure scale - Gargoyles, TailSpin (my personal fav), Darkwing Duck, DuckTales, Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers (we NEED more than a Brickheadz!), Goof Troop, Bonkers, House of Mouse, and all the rest of the shows from the 90's / early 2000's - would sell like hotcakes. 90's kids are adults entering / in the middle of their 20s / 30's, and have disposable incomes. It's like leaving money on the table! (House of Mouse would be an easy way to get us figs we'd never otherwise see outside of CMF's!) ...and I have a personal reason for wanting these shows to exist in LEGO: I need a Baloo and the rest of Higher for Hire crew to go with my Sea Duck MOC. (LEGO doesn't make any bear headpieces in black, strangely, so I've got the Adventurers pilot Harry Cane as a stand-in.) Edited July 15, 2024 by Murdoch17 Quote
Lion King Posted July 15, 2024 Posted July 15, 2024 I never heard of TailSpin, Bonnie’s, Goof Troop, but I love watching Darkwing Duck, Duck Tales, Chip n Dale tv shows! not just Disney tv shows but Nintendo’s tv shows too. I think characters from the classic Disney and Nintendo tv shows would be great for CMF and sets. Quote

I dunno if they'd be transformable (I feel like transformation with core class level articulation and alt-mode design shouldn't be impossible for figures the size of, say, the constraction figures), but whether they're that or 2-in-1s, maybe something like this: Polybag: 2-in-1 Optimus Prime ($4.99) Ravage and Rumble ($9.99) Bumblebee ($22.99) Starscream ($37.99) Optimus Prime ($44.99) Megatron ($44.99) Soundwave ($49.99): Comes with Laserbeak and Frenzy Grimlock ($59.99) (Store exclusive) Cliffjumper vs Thundercracker ($59.99) Ultra Magnus ($99.99) Buildable Matrix of Leadership ($69.99) UCS The Ark ($299.99): Giant buildable Ark (doesn't transform) with microscale transformer builds. Comes with minifigures of Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Megatron, and Starscream. Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted July 22, 2024 Posted July 22, 2024 According to exabricks, we‘re getting Tom & Jerry Brickheadz in December! Minifigs would be cool as well… maybe there’ll be a Hannah-Barbera CMF series one day Quote

Gorilla94 Posted July 23, 2024 Posted July 23, 2024 Same problem as Tweety and Sylvester. Jerry really needs to be a small mould Quote

Plus, there's clearly some appeal for transformers specifically, given Kre-o, hasbro's own bionicle knockoff figures, and arguably even some of these relatively cheap sort of blind bag model kits that snap together easily. Lion King Posted July 24, 2024 Posted July 24, 2024 I’m not surprised that they are going to do Tom & Jerry characters. I mean we ha Looney Tunes characters that are quite violent. We have Marvel and DC themes. Oh yeah and Harry Potter. It would be neat to have Hanna-Bar)….ara CMF Series!! But I’m not very looking to see an oversized Jerry figure like Itchy, Tweety and Gonzales (Sppedy), Chip and Dale (well, they can be used as mascots for Disney park….) I don’t know how likely they put named characters as an accessory like Tweety and Jerry along with Tom and Sylvester respectively but we have bunch of named characters as accessories in past series! Mandalorianknight Posted July 27, 2024 Posted July 27, 2024 (edited) A second wave of my hypothetical transformers line, but the reason I'm here to post is like I've said before, lego's made at least one set for just about every IP I'd want lego to make. Well, I've got a new one. I just finished the first TPB of Void Rivals, and holy cow, I think I'm gonna start an Ideas set immediately! Such a cool new story, something within the Transformers universe and yet concretely it's own thing. But yeah, like I said, here's a hypothetical second wave for mainline lego transformers: Polybag: 6-in-1 Megatron (Robot, Gun, Tank, Cybertronian Jet, earth bomber, helicopter) ($4.99) Buzzsaw and Ratbat ($9.99) Arcee ($22.99) Wheeljack ($29.99) Constructicon Scrapper ($34.99) Ratchet ($36.99) Constructicon Long Haul ($44.99) Shockwave ($44.99) Elita-One vs Skywarp ($64.99) Jetfire ($79.99) Buildable Optimus Prime head ($79.99) UCS The Nemesis ($299.99): Giant buildable Nemesis (doesn't transform) with microscale seeker jet builds. Comes with minifigures of Shockwave, Soundwave, Skywarp, and Thundercracker. Edited July 27, 2024 by Mandalorianknight Quote
Lion King Posted August 17, 2024 Posted August 17, 2024 I’m sure someone (or I) already mentioend that before - we would love to see Pokemon, Studio Ghibli, any anime from Japan, such as Yu-Gi-Oh, One Piece, Sailor Moon, etc. But there is one thing I don’t think someone already mentioned - I would to see Digimon! I do think Lego Soundwave is on his way- while I think megatron shows up eventually, I'm sure they'll wait until they've got the other obvious ones out since he'll be a little trickier to pull off with their rules- and I wouldn't be surprised if we got a GWP or expansion pack of whatever major casseticons don't come in the actual set. I enjoy doing these, so here's a third wave: Polybag: 2-in-1 Throttlebots (Bumblebee and Cliffjumper) ($4.99) Enemy vs Ramhorn ($9.99) Sideswipe ($26.99) Constructicon Bonecrusher ($29.99) Constructicon Scavenger ($34.99) Ironhide ($36.99) Constructicon Hook ($44.99) Blaster ($44.99): Comes with Eject and Steeljaw Prowl vs Constructicon Mixmaster ($54.99) Astrotrain ($74.99) Omega Supreme ($149.99) Transformers Art Set ($299.99): Mosaic that can be made into the transformers logo, Optimus Prime in truck mode, or Optimus Prime in robot mode. There'd also be a combo pack of all the Constructicon sets to form Devastator - Devastator ($244.94): Devastator and Prowl, with exclusive instructions to rebuild Prowl into a head. Quote

Right, but LEGO cars tend to be both cheap and easy to play with like a normal toy car. Making a LEGO Transformer toy that is both cheap (and hence relatively few parts) and transformable, while also looking like a decent toy is much harder. Which presumably is why the Transformers that LEGO has done tend to be large (and so less affordable for kids) and aimed at nostalgic adults. Quote

I don't know what universe you're in, but the main lego car line's standard cars go for $27 now. I think the reason the two transformers lego have done so far are large 18+ sets is because lego is very adult-focused at the moment and is tuned into that nostalgia vein as you say. A lego transformer will always be more expensive than a comparatively sized/articulated mainline transformer, just as most lego IPs have sets more expensive than the comparative non-lego version of the product. Kids still buy the lego version- often to the point they outperform the normal version- because it's made of lego. Quote

We've had too many Ideas for SpongeBob for LEGO to not get a clue (Scooby-Doo), on the other clip, I demand Captain Cutler and the Phantom Shadows. Of course, neither are particularly relevant, but they're two of the more iconic franchises LEGO no longer owns. Third, unbiased, guess, maybe TMNT? That has always been in-and-out of popularity, and is definitely worth a second shot, perhaps with sets from across the series' history. Quote
