Posted May 23, 20204 yr Build over 2,5 years ago for a collab at Legoworld Utrecht. Back than I only edited one photo. But because the castle had a full interior a kept it, and finally made some new photos of the whole thing! Sometimes you just need some time for yourself. All important matters in Valholl are in good hands. So Elon decided to spend some time with his family at one of his castles.
May 23, 20204 yr I saw it earlier on Flickr. It's a great model. My favourite thing is the interior and the "modularity" of the build, but I also really like the layout, with the inclusion of two big rocks, and the blend of wood and stone for the castle. It makes the model more interesting, and gives a story to the castle. It's as if they've built the wooden areas on top of the rocks first, and then built fortifications in front of them.
May 23, 20204 yr This castle has a really cool style, with the wood and the dark grey stones. Looks like you really put some love into the interior too - I bet it would be fun to play with!
May 23, 20204 yr This is wonderful - I don't even know where to start! I like the part of the castle perched on the rock, the sweet (steep!) stairs cut out of the rock, and the various cozy, well-detailed interior spaces. And of course the modular build so you can get to everything is ver well done, too.
May 25, 20204 yr From the outside it looks already impressive but you also managed to get a lot of detail inside it! I really love the staircase with the sideway bows for some reason, never thought of doing that!
May 25, 20204 yr Ah, I still remember this! The woodwork with dark bley tiling gives the whole a really great color scheme. I love that you added interior for the whole castle.
May 30, 20204 yr Great exterior architecture, that stonework technique is really lovely. Also although I never personally build interiors I think you also did a great job with that too!
June 6, 20204 yr Fantastic build! You always manage to build these enormous projects, it's quite impressive! I like the interiors, too. The bright green against the dark stone makes me think it was carved out of mountain stone that hasn't weathered much, which makes sense because it's Mitgardia. Very cool to see the bedspreads inside, the oval table, and the various details you have put into it. I love that you have stuck with your character for so long and kept him going with this family castle. I think my favorite part is the 33° double slope roof. It's one of my favorite pieces and you make it look great here!
June 13, 20204 yr Beautiful build, lots of contrasts, unique furniture, airy rooms,... Man, I wish I could see it life.
June 15, 20204 yr @Ecclesiastes This is great. The first picture gives me vibes of World of Warcraft, although I'm sure you were not going for that, it's a good thing to me.
June 16, 20204 yr That's an amazing MOC! I esp. like the small huts, the watchtower and these huge brick-built trees.
June 16, 20204 yr Wow man what a wonderful medieval building! I like the details of the roofs using the new corner tiles. The interiors are amazing ...a beautiful period faithfully reproduced!
June 16, 20204 yr Nicely done man. Clean architecture with some interesting texture and very nice colourscheme. Well done!
June 16, 20204 yr Ay caramba! She's a real beauty! Glad you finally had the chance to get this captured for posterity with this great photos. Not just big, but impressively detailed - though I would expect nothing less! The raised details on the little house rooves, genius. Really loving those stairs, too. Your work continues to be such a reliable inspiration, thanks for sharing Ecc!
