The idea is good but I don't like the organization.

It would be more logical to make a Space volume ( with 5 different coloured classic spacemen or 5 different space line: classic, blacktron,M-tron,Space police and Ice planet figs) and a town/city volume with a classic female with pigtails in it.

It is maybe a bit cynical, but maybe the idea is really to sell 5 figs where most people just want one or two of them so they can make more money. :sadnew: Or they have still supplies of the mad scientist, the jailman and the octan guy. Or they think some volumes will not sell very good.

It could be better , but I like the idea. If it's in normal shops and it's not too expensive I would maybe buy one of it. :classic:

A look in the crystall ball:

Cynical volume 2: A Timmy (from Timecruisers, many people don't like him  ), a Jar Jar Binks (the most hated person from the star wars universe  ) and some random figs nobody really wants or just one who everybody wants

female volume 2: A classic female with black (or red) pigtails, a pirate wench, a paradisa lipstick lady, Pippin Read and (It will make her a lot less rare) Princess Leia with a yellow face and her strange wig from episode 4.

I agree that they could have done a better job choosing the minifigs. :hmpf_bad: But I guess these are Ok, and it is nice to have some new classic space and firemen. :classic:

No, I do too! The old octan minifigures are classics, and I'm happy to own two that I got in the Gas and Wash Express rerelease. :classic:

Wonderful! Octan fans on!

God Bless,

Well, this is a failure for me. I don't like town and the scientist has one of the stupidest faces LEGO every made. The space figure is the only figure that has any value for me at all and I don't see these sets at anything less than $9.99. I wouldn't buy these for even $5. If it was a specific series of figures like Space, Castle, Town, etc, I could see getting some but this is just a waste for me.

Hope somebody enjoys these.

Well, I'm getting two reguardless of the price. I'm opening one and keeping one MISB. The spaceman could have a classic helmet with a thick chin guard, or that's what I hope. The fireman will be a good addition to my city, and so will the Octan guy, but the other two I have, so I don't really need them. I can't wait for V.2 and V.3. Does anyone know when this one will be released? Thanks! :classic:

I noticed from brickset that these are now available at S@H.

Search for 852331 or look in Product Collections.

$30 AUS? I think I will pass :sceptic: .

Thanks for finding that, but you're right, that price really does suck!

16.99 euro! That is dear for five minifigs! Maybe it's better to phone the replacement parts service to ask if you could have some spaceman torsos. That would be better instead of buying the whole set.

Wow, nice figs! Although €16.99 is a bit pricy... but for such nice figs, i think they're worth it! I only have dr "Jeckyll" or dr Frankenstein or how you're calling it... i like the crazy grin face the best!

17 euro? :oh::oh3: i'll let this one go then... after all, for me, it would basically mean 17 euro for a red space dude... hmmm...

Maybe if it was solely Classic Space minifigs or Clone Troopers, but this is close to insanity from TLG.

20 USD / 17 EUROs - no chance this'll be even close to a success. Cut the price in half and it might be worth it.

It's not like those figs are impossible to acquire anyways.

Meh! I'll pass and spend the money on crossbow ambushes instead.

This is very interesting...

I hope Vol. 2 has a better selection of minifigures.

Maybe something along the lines of this:

197? - ??? (I don't know much about pre-80's LEGO)

1989 - Governor Broadside

1993 - Ice Planet 2002 Chief

1997 - Basil the Batlord (Most of you will probably disagree with me  )

2002 – LEGO Studios Vampire (I lost mine :cry_sad: )

Bluebeard, out-

On Shop@Home it's an insane price! Bah! Maybe, only maybe, I would buy it if it was £5, but no more than that. And it's £12.49! Madness!

That selection would be brilliant. Also, Basil the Batlord is awesome, how could anyone disagree?

But, alas, Volume 2 would be the same (over)price...

Maybe they do, but I think a lot of people like the fig of Basil, even if they don't like the theme he's in... I like Fright Knights though, it would be interesting to see one of them in a Vintage Minifig pack. :pirate:

My set arrived in the post today. I was going to do a review, but there's really not enough to say about it that hasn't been said already.

I was hoping for something interesting on the back. Maybe a little bio of each figure saying which set it first came in or how many have been sold or, well, ANYTHING!!! ARRGH! Well no, a you can see there is basically nothing to this except the five figures in a nice presentation box. There is a clear plastic sleeve for the box that's easily removable. So at least you can get to the figures without damaging the box.

£12.49 was too much to pay in my opinion, although I'll enjoy looking at it on the shelf. I don't think I'll be getting Vol. 2 unless it's reduced on sale. That's if they actually get that far. I can't imagine this selling that well even with a nice shiny red classic space torso to drool over.

I've been considering this set for a while, but I really don't see the point when you could have the original versions of all the sets for considerably less. Also, doesn't something have to be 20 or 25 years old to qualfy as "Vintage" If that's the case than only two of these figs count as vintage.

Definatley a pass for me.
