I rarely build a set outside my house. (but I do build on the crapper)

What I will do is when I'm at a bar or dinner with my gf. I will look at the box and rattle it all the time.

Man I got some weird looks in Koln. Where I was sitting in this grandpa place with my 10183. Rattling the box and drinking Kolsch at the same time.

On the Loo!

Well, usually I need lots of Light so I sit on the Toilet seat. I have studio lights in the Bathroom.

Also I sit cramped on my Pillow because Lego is scattered over the Bed and my Cat, Dinika is hogging all the Room!

My parents were used to buy me a little set when we went shopping. It happened sometimes that I'd built the set before the check out (was too excited). The only thing I really remember was the weird faces of the cashiers.

In a cemetery default_sadnew.gif , when my grandpa died, the last Lego he had offered me default_sad.gif default_sad.gif

touching dude. sorry to hear abt ur loss.

Well i built the CITY Mobile Crane with my GF, while sitting on the floor, at the local Airport's Viewing Gallery (it was the best open space we could find after having our dinner there).

A few strangers walked passed and smiled at us. One guy actually said out loudly.. WHOA! NICE LEGO SET!

I am glad to see you here.

once built a couple of tiny turbos in a starbucks while waiting for my girlfriend from work. man did i get those weird looks hahaha

and even weirder looks when your girlfriend turned up as the other customers couldn't believe such a 'freak' could get a girlfriend

I sometimes play with minifigs in meetings at work, of course I just hang my head, and play with them under the table, technically it counts as building as I sometimes swap body parts. It's a great way to give a colleague a giggling fit when they're supposed to be all serious,

See, at school, people sneak a use of their phone under the table. In the workplace, it's an entirely different story!

You know, reading this thread makes me realise just how unimaginative I am...

Once, when I was younger, I built a complete lego castle during a car trip around France. It sounds simple but try to do it in the back of a small car trembling constantly

i think the weirdst place i ever built was in asda the person in front of me was messing around (whinger) so i decide to build my astro fighter i had pciked up in the shop.

and yes i recieved the 'looks'

*note to self: do not buy "used" lego from jipay or sinner  ,JK.

Anyways, I don't really build in weird places,

I've always built in my room or the living room.

He he he that's funny is it okay if put it in my sig?

Me too I think the wierdest place I've ever built is... well...in the closet... my brother or cousin shoved me in the cousin and I had my lego SW set and I immedietly built it in there.

I basically build everything on my bedroom floor or dining table these days. When I was really young, I built some small sets right after my parents bought them, which was often in the car or in various other stores or restaurants.

I'm in the military and we used to have Alert weekends, where we'd spend the whole weekend in an old Cold War underground bunker. I started building my UCS Imperial Star Destroyer there...we had a particularly unsavory boss that weekend, so we ended up being busy for most of the time, but I did manage to build some of the frame. :classic:

Well, recently I built a brand new Mutran and Vican set in the car while I was at my brothers baseball game. I usually just open the box and look at the instructions, but since I had nothing else to do I opened the bags and built it. :classic:

Note that I only did this because Bionicle sets often don't have nearly as many tiny parts as system sets, so there was less of a hazard losing pieces in the car seat.

On long trips home after going away for a weekend, in the car. Bad idea, as usually you find a piece or two to go missing. :cry_sad: Damn all the little places in a car where Lego can hide.

They shoved you where?! Someone's got to sig that!

See, at school, people sneak a use of their phone under the table.

In my primary school, during the last few weeks, because my arm was broken, I could hide Lego behind that,

and so I built the Clone battle pack, droid battle pack and an adventurers-style half-track, like in the Dragon Fortress Set!

Too bad I'm in secondary school now and have to hide my love of Lego :sadnew: , only my friends know, and some of them like/have liked it.

In my car. When I went from vacations in summer 2003 I buy all the second wave of star wars MINIs and while my father was driving I was building. I just remember the painful when all the pieces of the MINI millenium falcon felt out of the box and were lost for about 2 hours. The sad story is that I dont own any of that sets at now.

Once whilst waiting for a train - I just couldn't wait to get home.

When I was younger, trying to assemble a model on a ride at legoland - the junior dragon rollercoaster at windsor I think.

Other than that, I don't think i've built anywhere weirder than my bedroom or conservatory.

On the train back to London from a holiday in Daddyhole Cove in mid 2006, my girlfriend and I built the police boat we'd found for cheap in a Woolworths there. I can't remember how we didn't lose any pieces, but we didn't, so all was well.
