Adam Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 I must say, the trolls are way more awesome than any of the others. I mean, not only do they look cool with their green skin and red eyes, but just look at those weapons! They're like, flame swords ! Quote
Shoc Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 I'm a nerdy little dwarf who asks nothing more than a nice beer, some food, and peace to invent cool new vehicles and weapons like the mine defender! And perhaps also a beautiful princess to move in with him and his 6 bachelor dwarf pals! Heigh Ho! :skull: Quote
Francis Marion Posted May 27, 2008 Posted May 27, 2008 I pledge my loyalty to the Dwarven Lords, who now seek techonology to destroy those cruel enough to harm the innocent. As well, I am a proponent of dragon rights, and even though the dwarves and dragons have had hard relationships, that is no reason for them to be ununited against a common foe. I am a proponent of dragon rights Also, I have created a topic devoted to the liberation of dragons and the advancement of them as a faction: Association for the Advancement of Dragons' Rights P.S.- It's supposed to be Dragons' Rights on the topic title, but I messed up the grammar Quote
blueandwhite Posted May 27, 2008 Posted May 27, 2008 All of my fantasy folk have been banished to parts bins. I am a Crownie supporter. They are the one faction that mixes well with my classic BFs, Lions, and Black Knights. Quote

This poll only counts the five modern ones, and seeing as dragons count for both skellies and crownies, but Dragons are not a seperate race, their vote doesn't count. When I reach poll status (far away but ah well), I'll open up another another topic, correct from the start without any need of topic changing, that covers the old castle as well from KK2 and older. Dragonator Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 No, I didn't. This poll only counts the five modern ones, and seeing as dragons count for both skellies and crownies, but Dragons are not a seperate race, their vote doesn't count. Oh no you didn't! What are you trying to say? That dragons are not worthy enough even to have vote now? That they are so inferior that they should be repressed and not counted at all? EVIL!! Just pure EVIL I tell you all!!!! Firstly a few little points. You say dragons are not a separate race, and I find this very confusing. If they are the same race as both humans (alive) and undead (dead), then what are they exactly? You make no sense. They are more than just a separate race, they are a separate species! Why is it that nobody can grasp this! Why are my friends the dragons always the first to be tossed aside? Now, if we accept they are an entirely different species, let us move on to the next point. You have said that a dragons vote (or someone voting for a dragon) doesn't count. This makes me angry. Not only are you suppressing the rights of us to vote for who we truly and most deeply represent, but you are saying that dragons are too worthless to vote! How do you think that makes them feel, hearing that! Have some humanity! Dragons are far wiser and superior to any other creature of this Earth, if their vote doesn't count, then nobodies vote should! They may not be able to log on here and tell you, but as their official representative in a world gone mad, I feel it my duty to tell you instead. So everyone, the moral is, think before you post a comment that is extremely hurtful to dragons, especially when there is any chance whatsoever of me treading the topic. You have been warned. When I reach poll status (far away but ah well), I'll open up another another topic, correct from the start without any need of topic changing, that covers the old castle as well from KK2 and older. Don't worry Dragon Fans, you won't be missed! Ah, this sounds much better, glad you are happy to include us dragon fans in future. I guess that might start to make up for the fact that they were excluded from the start. Now, get back to the discussion! Dragon Rights ON! -ator Quote
Cakeman Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 I guess I'm a Crownie fan... they're the most like the old crusaders, have nice colors and uniforms and cool weapons. They will stand fast against skeletons and trolls and rogue dragons with a little help from their allies. Right, I'm inspiered... maybe there will be some MOCing tonight. Quote

Dovchenko Posted May 30, 2008 Author Posted May 30, 2008 hey, im with you, pal. i also belive that dragons should not be tossed around and put into groups, and not their own group. that also brings up another point: what about trolls? dont they get their own race too? Come on, you know what I mean. Dragons are represented by both Crownies and Skeletons in the MODERN castle series. It's easy to choose who's the most dragonlike of the classic castle sets- well, the Dragon Knights. When that classic castle topic is created, of course you'll have your dragons. But here, it's like voting "Catapult", or "Battering Ram". Everyone's got one. In this case, two seperate teams have dragons, and you're opposed to either team owning one in the first place! . I respect dragon rights as much as you do, but merc's, trolls or dragons are where I draw the line. In the modern fantasy world, they're based on a particular race. Trolls would count as a vote for Orc Trolls. All I can say is that you can either choose one of the five races (preferably Skellie or maybe Crownie), or wait until the new topic comes up. Remember, there is no seperate dragon theme here in Lego other than your beloved Dragon Knights. Quote

Remember, there is no seperate dragon theme here in Lego other than your beloved Dragon Knights. No no, that is completely the opposite of what I am trying to tell you! Now you are suggesting that dragons are something to be owned, like a catapult or a battering ram. Not so my friend, not so. Dragons are a race in their own right, they owe no allegiance to either the crownies, the skellies, or even the dragon knights! You see, each of these groups is a group of humans; dragons, even though they are incleded on one or the other side in the Lego sets, are a race all of their own. They are part of no faction. This is why I find it so hurtful when you say that they are 'owned' by a particular faction; more like enslaved. Dragons are not a dumb item like a horse or a cow that can be owned, they are wise and noble creatures far beyond the understanding of any mortal human. They cannot be grouped with any faction of castle, whether it be dragon knights or crownies, as they are not human and do not belong to a human faction. They are different from trolls, who are sworn to a particular 'faction' of their own, but dragons are free creatures with no ties to any group of humans or other. Yes they will occasionally make alliances with a group, such as the dragon knights, but this does not mean that they 'belong' to that faction. Does that make things a bit clearer for you? I hope in future that you do not make the mistake of grouping dragons with a faction or as a dumb item like a catapult. If it comes down to that, we could all start talking about how we 'own' men in certain factions, and we all know that it is impossible to own a person (unless they are a slave of course ). In the MODERN castle line as you have called, dragons are most certainly not represented by any faction, they are a group in their own right that is either allied with a certain side for their own reasons, or enslaved by evil means. Yes the Dragon Knights are the most 'dragon-like' of the old castle factions, but that is only because they love and care for their fellow friends the dragons, and so the dragons are happy to talk, play, and when the occasion arises, fight with the dragon knights. I hope you now have a clearer understanding of dragons. I can forgive you for your ignorance, as your comments were most likely entirely stemmed by not knowing how dragons should truly be treated, but now that you know I will not accept any sort of insult towards them. As for your last statement, I find it hard to believe that a tiny dumb troll might even attempt to eat a dragon (no matter how amusing tat would look ). That is pretty funny! But that is not something to even joke about pal. Getting off-topic? I think this is very on-topic really, as we are discussing why a certain somebody won't let me be represented by the dragons. However if you insist I will say again: DRAGONS!!! Thanks for listening, -ator Edited May 31, 2008 by dragonator Quote

However if you insist I will say again: DRAGONS!!! Thanks for listening, -ator It's not that I won't represent you. Skellies and Crownies may not own dragons, but if they aren't, they're at least in top notch control with armour, saddles and sometimes chains. Dragon Knights, on the other hand, have dragons attracted to their faction. Please don't make this difficult, please don't make me say "sentient humanoid beings" . You understand what I mean, they aren't as free as I, you and probably the world would have hoped. However, the elves should have some mythological creatures next year if they come out, perhaps dragons, who have free souls. So, let me narrow it down to you. Would you prefer: -A black and red matching dragon pair, one with a rider and one free but guarding a skeleton tower? or... -A green dragon heavily armoured with a Crownie rider and some chains? Not that I don't respect the power of the dragons, but it's the truth. Quote
Dovchenko Posted June 1, 2008 Author Posted June 1, 2008 Orcs rulez! That's right, I forgot to put in my vote! One vote for the Orcs. They've got amazing vehicles, I just got my first modern castle the battle wheel today, and I'm very impressed. A wonderful build, with the Orc style just radiating from it! ORCS!!!!! Quote
