xwingyoda Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 I get your point Mister Bildur. However, let me remind you we have been waiting quite some time before entering the mansion, we are cold, hungry and we are locked in here for who knows how long. Therefore, we need to find some food. Is it stealing ?? No. Is it necessity I wonder ?? Surely yes !!!
Mr. Lego-builder Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 Ok, you've convinced me enough! :D Let's grab something to eat...and drink for that matter! *twisted*
Akkhraziel Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 I think I'll pass on the repast. Never can be too careful. *resumes watching the surroundings from under his jingasa* Akkh
Athos Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 Facsinating. Athos, dear, will you please provide an explination? What you have already read is all I can tell you, attorney-client privilege and all. You know how it is... wouldn't want to get disbarred or anything, now would I? Before I can tell you anything, I would have to contact my client and get permission... and until we can find a phone... it doesn't look like that's going to happen. The gun is now in Xwingyoda's possession then. I shall take the revolver then, and throw the bullets away (or discharge) the gun when we will see an open window. For our safety, it is not wise to carry a loaded gun, especially within a confined group of strangers where tensions are inevitable after a couple of days spent here. Further, I'm not too fond of the notion of Mr. Yoda packing a loaded gun... I'm not sure we should be picking up every weapon we find and carting it around... Nor is it wise to dispose of the bullets so haphazardly. Perhaps, if it is not too late, you could allow someone else to carry them? Are you sure we should start randomly drinking liquor? I mean, you are literally "stealing" the drinks/food...wouldn't this make Mr. Crowley angrier? Just a thought... As to the food issue, I think we would be alright, legally that is, in helping ourselves to it... A case of necessity and all... Finally, I think we need to find the study. Crowley might have some documents to assist us in figuring out just what is going on around here. Steve
WesternOutlaw Posted July 12, 2005 Author Posted July 12, 2005 Kitchen You enter the small kitchen to find the usual: sink, oven, cupboards, stove, and various pots, pans, and large utensils hanging from a few hooks on the walls.
Mr. Lego-builder Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 Let's look in the cupboards, in the oven, and lift up the lids of the pots/pans and look inside! There must be some clues here!
Darkie Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 What you have already read is all I can tell you, attorney-client privilege and all. You know how it is... wouldn't want to get disbarred or anything, now would I? Before I can tell you anything, I would have to contact my client and get permission... and until we can find a phone... it doesn't look like that's going to happen. Ah, but Athos...is this the case when obviously, we are here to discover the final fate of one end of that transaction? I suspect you are hiding something...some...information of sorts. That sounds like a canned answer saying, "I don't want to tell you!" Every law has a loophole. You are a lawyer. Find the loophole. Something has to negate the attorney-client privledges. Even if you scream, "HIPPA" (Privacy Laws), there is still an obligation to reveal information if the life of someone is at stake. Psychogists do it. So can you. It's the first time you've "slipped", is it, Dear Athos?
WesternOutlaw Posted July 12, 2005 Author Posted July 12, 2005 A Knife and a Trap Door Upon inspecting the kitchen for CLUES, you immediately discover two interesting items. A large butcher knife is lying on the floor next to a small trap door with a metal latch.
Darkie Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 What would it take to open the latch and see what lies beyond the small trap door?
xwingyoda Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 Well Mister Athos, that is a very interesting comment concerning myself !!!! First of all, I don't think we should pick up every possible weapon we can find. The pistol is a more sophisticate weapon that allows the shooter to kill his victim from a distance without the possibility for the victim to defend himself. Furthermore, I find your way to distract the attention from yourself quite disturbing. How convenient to try and shift the burden of attention on myself rather than answer the question that we all have pursuant to our first discovery. Mind you that I am not accusing you in anyway, I was just asking for clarifications !!!! At this stage, I think it is not wise at all to become suspicious, we are a group and as such we should stick together !!! Mister Brickster, is the knife stained with blood ??? If not, is there anything the murderer could have used to clean the knife ???? How intriguing to have the knife lying on the floor in a mansion that is so clean and where everything has its place !!!! Furthermore, Mister Brickster, I fully agree with Miss Darkie, we should open the trap on the floor !!!!
Akkhraziel Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 *Looks at the knife and smiles slightly* Brickster: Is there any electricty flowing into the kitchen, as could be told by the hum of appliances, or possible digital dials. Akkh
WesternOutlaw Posted July 12, 2005 Author Posted July 12, 2005 Q: What would it take to open the latch and see what lies beyond the small trap door - Darkie A: You place your hand on the latch and lift the trap door. A ladder leads down. Q: Is the knife stained with blood ??? If not, is there anything the murderer could have used to clean the knife - XWingYoda A: No, the butcher knife is not stained, appears very clean and unscratched. There's a set of four neatly folded towels in one of the cupboards, none of which have been used. Q: Is there any electricty flowing into the kitchen, as could be told by the hum of appliances, or possible digital dials - Akkhraziel A: Not that you notice. The oven appears to be an older gas range. The kitchen has no refrigerator and you don't notice any electrical outlets in this room. A small light fixture hangs from the ceiling and is lit.
xwingyoda Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 Since there is no food nor drinks in the kitchen I suggest we all go downstairs and look for some, as well as clues !!!!
Mr. Lego-builder Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 Yes! Let's go downstairs! Be careful though. If something happens to the ladder, we might be stuck down here...
Darth_Ewok Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 some of us should stay up here so we won't all be stuck if something does happen to the ladder. And I think its just fine if yoda has an unloaded gun. but if someone is murdered by someone with a gun. he is on our top list of suspects which makes it SO much easier :-D
Sarg_Kulo Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 I won't to go downstairs. I tihnk two people should stay upstairs. If anything happnes to the ladder then maybe they can tie the four tea towels together and help us all out of the lower room. :)
xwingyoda Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 I am more than willing to explore the depth of the mansion !!!! Shall I go down the ladder fist ???
jonfett Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 Yeah, I know I've beena little quiet so far.. but the spookiness of the mansion scared me. But now I've found my voice I think I will follow yoda up the ladder, hopefull this will cure me of my fear too! ;) Jon.
Athos Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 Hey! Have we decided who is going and who is staying? I volunteer to say here with Darkie ;) Steve
Mr. Lego-builder Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 I'll be more than willing to go down the ladder!
WesternOutlaw Posted July 13, 2005 Author Posted July 13, 2005 Wine Cellar Xwingyoda, Mr. Lego Builder, Sarg Kulo, and Jonfett slowly climb down the ladder as the others watch with anticipation. The wooden ladder is rather rickety and squeeks under the weight of each of your steps downward. Suddenly, Sarg Kulo's right foot breaks one rung toward the bottom. He makes a jerking motion as he yells :() , then jumps to the floor. You appear to be in an old dusty wine cellar with dim lighting coming from a light ficture hanging from the ceiling. Nine large oak barrels fill the room with a few crates filled with rotten potatoes, vegetables, and some canned food.
WesternOutlaw Posted July 13, 2005 Author Posted July 13, 2005 Also, Akkhraziel currently has possession of the Knife.
Darkie Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 Well, boys. You wanted food and drink. Canned food is supposedly non-perishable, so you might want to haul those up here to the kitchen. And can we check the contents of the wine barrels? An empty one may hold a clue, and a full one may hold wine--hopefully red, and not white, or you won't be having any wine, either. And Athos...How brave of you to volunteer to stay out of the dangerous part to protect little 'ole me...;)
Athos Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 Lets play with those barrells a bit. Seems like a good place for another secret passage? And Athos...How brave of you to volunteer to stay out of the dangerous part to protect little 'ole me... Anything I can do to help... you know that. :) Steve
Sarg_Kulo Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 Yeah, check the wine barrels and then expore the room for secret passage and stuff. *glasses* Oh and boys upstairs. get ready with those tea towels. BTW, am I injured at all with my fall down the ladder?
