mpj Posted June 22, 2020 Posted June 22, 2020 (edited) Hello! Recently I built an alternative model using only parts from set 42108. It is a roto-telehandler, mainly based on JCB Hydraload. All functions are manual: - boom raise/lower - fork tilt - turret rotation - 4 wheels steering - stabilizers There are 2 attachments: fork and hook. It is in the same scale as my other models (1.21) and instructions can be found here: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-43871/technicprojects/jcb-roto-telehandler/?inventory=1#comments Functions summary: I hope you like it! Maaboo the Witch Posted June 22, 2020 Posted June 22, 2020 Woah. One of the best C-models ever and just another reminder that TLG should have the JCB license for Technic. Quote
nerdsforprez Posted June 22, 2020 Posted June 22, 2020 (edited) i bought this set (42108) and recently some of the instructions for M_longer's adaptations. This has got to be one of the most adaptive, versatile, and C-model worthy sets out there. This C model adds to the litany of models out there. wonderful job! rener Posted June 22, 2020 Posted June 22, 2020 That looks very nice. And judging by the amout of great alternate models coming by here, it's really a shame there is no official B-model for this set... Quote
mpj Posted June 22, 2020 Author Posted June 22, 2020 Just now, Maaboo35 said: It looks just like a Hydraload too! Eh eh it was my inspiration. There are no many photos of this telehandler, except the ones at the launch (like the photo you posted) so I'm not sure if is not yet on the market or not very common. If I did not have the parts limitation, I would have improved the stabilizers and the boom (with flat panels and bigger JCB logo ) Quote

It is really very interesting to see the effort being put up by the AFOL community and coming up with wonderful alternative builds. I guess we would have missed some of these innovation builds in case there was a b-model. And honestly all the alternatives build so far are way superior to the half hearted builds presented by TLG. @mpj Thanks for sharing your wonderful creation with all of us. Quote
Maaboo the Witch Posted June 22, 2020 Posted June 22, 2020 I know they're not included in 42108, but these tyres would look great on this thing: Quote
