Depends on where the pivot point is placed, if even with the ladders they might be able to stay, if not, the ladders could be moved to the frame.

to support runningboards that are one tile tall, like the ones on the side of this tender

Or if you are willing to add a "step up" to the running boards, one could use a 1x8 tile to bridge the two boat studs and the jackshaft to make room for the rods.

A 1x8 tile might be my preference.

I just came home, after picking up my 10277 from a pickup point.

My plan was to wait to get it, but I ordered it on friday. My wallet/bank account might not be so happy with me.
