?‍♂️ now why didn't I think of that?! Thanks!!

Edit: I've just ordered all the parts from Bricklink/Lego - in quite a few cases, the parts from Lego were cheaper than Bricklink!

Wow, the building process is really one of the better recent models. It has come together nicely so far:

Included MODs:

- Huw's fix on the 8:8:8 transmission

- single clutch to prevent stress by rubber band, cf.

Has anyone considered using pulley + 'rubber' instead of the 12/20 reduction next to the motor?

(I have used a #3482 wheel hub)

- single front wheel on a rotable mount for better steering on ground

I’m trying not to look at my bank balance... I’ve spent more than the retail price of the set that’s for sure! But I want to make this, so c’est la vie.

I'm going to have to look at the wheels on mine as well. The stock design allows for a 12mm maximum wheel radius. I don't have 6 wheels the same size that small, and my current interim solution has the plane hang backward a bit. I've got about 8 tires at 13mm radius, but obviously those don't fit.

I'm also probably going to do a lot of picking at colours before I post photos.

Hi,

Do you have a list of the part numbers and numbers needed to fix?

I would like to start building mine.

Thanks

You can check out the part lists first post or import the XML code in the first post into bricklink.

What's your setup for the steerable front wheel? Can you share some photos?

With pleasure - On Step 81.3 on page 72 replace the 5L beam by this

plus a suitable 2L beam to fix the 5L axle in step 81.6.

The mount is assembled from these parts:

As the deployed wheel is not 'perpendicular' to the surface you will notice a small 'nag' (bump) any time the wheel turns by 180°.

Apologies if it has already been said, but you can order the Osprey parts from LEGO Bricks and pieces. Yes, including the exclusive ones. You just have to search for the part number.

Yep, there they are. Except the rotor blades are out of stock as of typing this. The new tapered panels should be available though. I didn't check for the recolours of older part types.

You might want to check ebay for custom sticker sheets.

I had a look yesterday and none of the exclusive color variations showed up, were they pulled from B&P?

I have read in another topic they pulled the parts and cancelled the orders, but a friend of mine told me that his order with those parts have been shipped earlier this week.

Brickshelf appears to be down (un-reachable) for the past few days. I put the images somewhere else.

(Sorry no direct linking because with some browsers mixing of https and external http servers is blocked by default and thus images not shown.)
