Beside the Colour swap to make the Osprey buildable with actual parts there are some functions which may not work or look properly. so feel free to add your mods here. please dont discuss here about the release, there are several topics for this.

This is my mod to overcome the requirement for the triangular curved panel. Notice that since the side panels have to arch over the 3x5 frames, the mounting point in the back must move forward by 1 stud.

Since there are lots of parts in Lime like the Sian panel and sideskirts for blades, i would love to see a complete lime version. Maybe only digital for now...

A fully lime body isn't possible at this moment because there are no tapered 5x11 panels in lime. 

But then the tapered 5x11 panels at the ramp can be bypassed through using a 3x11 panel and two liftarms, or a pair 5x11 #18 and #19 panels. 

Once I get my paws on the Sian I'll try it out. But that won't happen soon. I'll wait until the Sian's price hit the bottom.

I think this is even better than then 5x11 pannel. The curve looks more aerodynamics.

I'm working on trying to have the blade themselves also pivot as well as the engine assemblies still being able to rotate and spin the blades.

It's hard though :/, heres the idea: I have a swashplate and 3 ball shaped parts with a bar which goes to a bunch of tiny levers which does to the blades pinholes.The miniturntable is to the regular function can still be there.

I think the black  end cap will just move with the blades rotation because getting that to stay put yet having rotating blades is a nightmare!.

I planned to rebuild this in the white-red color scheme to make it look like a medevac aircraft. As a result I need to replace the 8 3x7 shell panels in DBG with 8 in white. And when I checked bricklink, I found out that I have exactly 8 of them among the available sets: 2 in 42092, 2 in 42096, 3 in 42100, 1 in 42109, 2 in 42110.

How did you put the black pin with pin hole? I think it should be changed with something different

Lol that had me for a moment, but there's actually a one stud offset between the two beam parts

What do you mean? There's a line of 5 pinholes inside the panel.

Yes yes sorry. I was confused by the frontal photo.

I finished building it, took me 8 hours, I made it with what parts I had, as best as I could:

I ran out of DBG/orange 7x3x2 curved panels so theres one missing:

I just used 5x11 panels here:

This could do with @Ngoc Nguyens mod which uses 3 curved 3x11 panels. here I just used one for now.

I need to find a way to hold the battery box in and ill use a BUWIZZ anyhow.

red wire clip was in use so here I used my remaining two from 42199:

Finally Here is where I had to have different colored panels on the left and right rotor assembly undersides since I ran out of those panels in such colors:

I hope to make a bricklink order to get the missing parts and maybe the recolored parts if they are not too expensive.

I look forward to modding this set.

I think this colour scheme is also highly doable with current piece inventory

as far as i know lbg panels doesnt have much variations

They destroyed the look and thisnew  way is solid too

I think the most reason that we might think it is weird is that the wings are way too thin...

Maybe just make it 1 more stud thick?
