The War is officially on. GBW Reloaded is now open and ready to go. HAPPY HUNTING!

Awesome, on a side note I have another question, I don't full understand:

"Tank with crew diorama- Allowed 1 Per Unique Tank Design- 10 BB each"

I can imagine that say a small quickly put togheter quad or something wouldn't deserve 10 points however I think tanks really limit the players, what about a cool attack helicopter, armored personel carrier or perhaps a patrol boat. Why was the choice made to limit players to specifically a tank only? And as an alternative  could a generic vehicle category, perhaps for less points or for points being given by the judge depending on the build instead of a hard number be introduced?

So say I build something small like the afformentioned quad, if enough thought and care is put into the quad and diorama it might still net the player a single point or something (because it's a small vehicle) but something larger like a troop transport nets 5 points while a big assault chopper nets the player 10 points etc? Based on judges decision.

We'll discuss this.

Also want to note that you guys still need to post in the AAR Section. Returning players can use their existing posts.

Thank you for your consideration, also for the heads-up, I hadn't noticed the AAR section yet.

edit* also to be entirely honest, I've been working on an armored car for at least 5+ hours if not more now and I'd really like it to be eligible for some points after all the effort I've been putting into it.

Thank you for your consideration

So the ruling on this will be the following (and I've adjusted the main rules thread)
Tank / Armored Vehicle / Service Trucks with crew diorama- Allowed 1 Per Unique Design- 10 BB each

Anything smaller than that should be incorporated into a side build with other things to earn you points. Anything bigger than that should be incorporated into a side build for more points (or a battle).

I want to stress something here also; we don't like having too many rules and being super specific, we are where it is absolutely required. We want you guys to be creative and think outside the box. Your goal should not be to break the game either. We ask that with anything you do, to use your best judgement. If we have to start putting in lots of rules or getting very specific, that can take the fun out of things. This topic in particular was fine to discuss, but made me want to address that point.

I have a doubt.

Let´s use "real" examples. I have a common tank hull that can be used for many types of armoured vehicles:

-tank

-SAM tank

-howitzer

-bridge laying tank

-rocket launcher tank

Some examples are posted in the military section. The vehicle shares many componentes, but are different.

Would it be allowed to post a MOC with the tank, another with the howitzer, etc...and get 10 BB per MOC?

Thanks!

An original design can be used for a presentation build of a new vehicle. If you're simply going to modify this, as you have done in previous builds, you'd need to utilize side builds for this and make something a little more detailed. Example: you build your tank and get 10 points. Cool. You swap the upper part of the tank to be a bridging unit so build a landscape of a river or something for a side build.

The point is quality builds and furthering the story, not just quick points grabs.

Not so sure if we said that before but shouldnt we have some type of form knowing our current ammount of BB's ??
maybe in each side's "secret" post as a topic managed by the admins?

I keep track of them in the AAR

In case i want to attack/occupied a square that dont belong to anyone or i dont know if it is, how do i have to proceed ?

You and your team will need to keep tabs on enemy movements. Additionally, you would need to discuss your planned actions with your team leader so they can put a form in for you.

Hi all

Shouldn't we have a map with red and blue squares knowing how's is the "owner" of the square  ???

Fantastic idea SATSOK!

I agree with the proposal!

Seconded, if possible I would say transparant red/blue so we still see the map but with a red or blue overlay, per game turn.

This is the part where you all are going to hate me.... but as I noted above, your teams each need to keep tabs of the enemy movements and gather your own intel. If you want to make your own map to share within your teams, you're more than welcome to do that.

I just want to point out and remind again: Every square on the map is worth something. Some more than others. If there is something on a square other than just terrain, it probably means something. Some of it is player specific, some of it involves teams, some of it involves everyone.

Just throwing this out there as you all start to plan your moves...

This is totally what I thought could be the job of the Team Leaders.

Just want to add that if you guys are making builds to take over squares, make sure the Grid Square is identified in your subject line of the build. Helps us out a lot.

Thanks!

By the way, I notice everybody is using a different title, as there isn't a clearly stated title for moving to a square, but is it all good as long as its formatted as [GBW] *insert square here* so for example

[GBW] E7 - Koszmar - Blabla

Is good? It was kind of confusing as we don't have a title for it like say Military Commander or Side Build, not that I could find. Personally I didn't call mine Battle as I wasn't fighting another player so it didn't seem like the right tag.

Let's go with this: [GBW] - GRID SQUARE - Nation - MOC TITLE

Also just want to point out that I have not put up any of the Grid Capture Build points yet as I'm still working on the formulas for the spreadsheets for the monthly recurring points.

And again..... not to beat a dead horse here..... but everything on the map means something and every grid square is worth something.
