Rolyat24 Posted December 10, 2020 Posted December 10, 2020 I think brick built dragon heads work well for the larger dragons where they’re given more pieces for greater detail. The smaller dragons need more creative solutions, which sometimes work but other times fall short. So at least for some smaller dragons, I can support the moulded heads. Quote

UberCorp Posted December 10, 2020 Posted December 10, 2020 I’m not really much of a Ninjago fan, but I would definitely buy sets from a Nya focused wave. Loved Aqua Raiders and Atlantis as a kid so I’ll take anything to fuel my desire for a new ocean theme. Hoping the water dragon is more of an aquatic, serpent-esque design than a more traditional dragon. Something like the Lagiacrus from Monster Hunter. Quote
Lucarex Posted December 11, 2020 Posted December 11, 2020 Just saw apparent list of 2021 sets that seem to support the underwater theme for S15, not sure if legit... 71750 Cole's Swimming Facility (hmmm) $19.99 71752 Gates of Atlantis (please be true!) $39.99 71754 Dragon of Water (already confirmed) $69.99 71755 Underwater Temple of Distortion $99.99 Quote
Pirean_Grammaticul Posted December 11, 2020 Posted December 11, 2020 ok that's all megablocks esp. being largely location-heavy but we're definitely getting a temple and a dragon Quote

Also cole’s swimming facility? Idk man, seems like those fake castle leaks to me all over again. Quote

Aside from a few sets here and there, I haven’t really been too into Ninjago since the first wave of Legacy sets came out almost two years ago (most of which I ended up not getting). I do like the direction the line is going in for 2021 though! $10 Epic Battle sets with two exclusive/uncommon figures each? Yes! Legacy sets based off the seasons of Ninjago that were airing when I first became interested in the theme? Yes! A follow-up to my all-time favorite Lego set, Ninjago City? Yes! Nice, unique looking sets for Season 14? Yes! That dragon looks really nice and the tropical island set would go well with the Barracuda Bay I acquired this week. The news of a Nya Water Dragon is exciting and I really hope this season does focus on her since she’s one of my favorite characters in the show. Edited December 11, 2020 by The Stud Quote
GarmaFan Posted December 11, 2020 Posted December 11, 2020 (edited) I doubt that list because it's unlike Ninjago to use the word "Atlantis" straight up. When they introduce things from fantasy they usually give it a different name to make it more 'unique'. Goblins and trolls = Geckles and Munce. Nadakhan's a Djinn instead of a genie, the lesser-known version of the word. If there was an underwater city they'd give it their own name, especially since LEGO's already used Atlantis. The fact that it came out right after people on this forum expressed their desire for a Nya focused underwater season certainly raises some suspitions. On top of that, the sets also sound "too good to be true". Most of them seem to be location-based sets, which is very unusual for Ninjago. And as @GarmaFan pointed out, it's unlikely for Ninjago to straight up use the word "Atlantis". With that in mind, this seems like another fake leak, like the one from 2016 with the "Merjitzu" season. Quote

I think that the calendar could be wrong, and with ninja whip apparently confirming that the sets are jan first, I cant be sure. we've heard nothing about the gardens, and the ninjago sets arnt up on shop@home, so my best guess is that the main pics could hint at something like the gardens, and they're waiting to reveal the gardens, and then the rest of the sets go up. either that or the gardens are a feb release, and that would suck. in an Ideal world, gardens get revealed 2morrow and the rest of the sets go up on shop@home, and all are a jan release. unfortuently, with jan 1st coming closer, im beginning to question this idea. also, ive always questions legos marketing team on the jan 1st release date. its literally 6 days after Christmas (or whichever holiday you celebrate). why? also, I doubt we are getting a ninjago cmf now. very unfortunate. the minifig series that TLG hinted at coming out in may is probably the loony tunes one. a guy from somewhere Posted December 11, 2020 Posted December 11, 2020 ninjago set pics are up on shop@home!!!!!!!! they look amazing, but the prices are a bit..... off. for the uk anyways. the ToE set is £28, not 25, same with the overlord dragon. if you compare this price to the US prices, its quite a bit higher. not appreciated lego. still not too hot on that overlord dragon. to the people of the uk, what are your thoughts on the titan mech price being £55? that's £10 higher than what it was originally meant to be.
