Yeah, I know that feeling, I had the chance to get the rock roader for like 75% off at a convention but ended up going with The LEGO City jungle halftrack. Damn I was an idiot, I'm still contemplating getting it off eBay. If anyone has it, what's it like? I'm just a massive fan of the suspension, but the fact I could have gotten it then and turned it down just disappoints me now. What was I doing back then?

It's a fantastic set, one of my favourites! Great shaping, nice suspension, some NPU, great cockpit, Nelson and an exclusive and very unique version of Cole. Conclusively: this is an all-out yes!

I even made a mini version of it :sweet::

That is so cool! Nice work, would of been cool to see a mini version in the show!

In other news, some pics have leaked that are apparently from season 15, not sure if they’re real or not but i personally don’t think it’s real. One image is Prince Kalmar or whatever his name is, and the other looks to be from either a title card or the poster.

Just thought i'd share this with you, this is what gave me inspiration for the UCS question. I would say I'm pretty good at mocs, but I take my hat off to this guy. He is an incredibly talented person and has done tons of UCS builds for ninjago. His name is Talented arts productions, and my god this guy deserves a job or at least a couple of days with the design team.

Oh yeah, I've recently seen a video by Talented Arts Production too. I do dig his Empire Dragon remake!

Speaking of "UCS" legacy set, it would be really nice if there was a set based on the City of Ouroboros. The various small snake structures in the 2012 sets do looks pretty cool and I do also like the side build of Legacy 70667. Combining those elements to form an arena-like base set would be really awesome.

So the Prince kalmar fig leaked, pretty sure this one is real. Looks pretty good, I love the head mold.

Is that his head, or is it a mask again? I quite like it, but i would love to see it in another colour scheme. One that fits traditional monsters better

Welp, R.I.P. on the theory that Apsheera will be returning as the main villain....

On the other hand, man I love that minifigure! That prints is just so good. It's so aquatic, and the orange-ish lines are definitely a nice touch. The head awesomely screams aquatic too!

Kinda made me wish that the grunts such as the maraay guard were more aquatic themed rather than re-using Pyro Viper heads now.

I’m unsure right now, but it appears to be a head, not a helmet/mask. Not like Chima.

You can make a mini Gyarados with it :-)

The Prince Kalmaar figure looks pretty cool, I like the head mold. But I don't understand why didn't they simply re-use the Atlantis octopus legs for this guy, and instead opted to create a new mold, which in my option doesn't work as well as the previous one.

Because those octopus legs haven't been used in a decade, meaning they probably already got rid of the mold.

I actually managed to get the Monastery from eBay the other day and I'm shocked that I slept on it while it was officially available. I always really wanted it but never got around to it until now. I've actually put it on a rocky base including ground for the courtyard, and it looks fantastic. I would love a Fire Temple remake but given Flame is getting a set in the summer I doubt it will happen...

I'll never understand why LEGO keeps getting rid of so many perfectly useable molds after barely using them once or twice. It feels like a complete waste of time and money to me.

Molds wear down over time and are very expensive to replace, wether or not they end up doing that is up to LEGO :shrug_oh_well:

Jay's full suit has been revealed minus the helmet!

looks pretty good wow

Adding to that we already have 3 minifigs revealed: Main villain octopus dude, scuba jay, maaray snake eel guard

this is fast!

I think one of the big potential advantages of a new "tentacle legs" piece is reducing the footprint. The classic one was great, and I loved the way it evoked the classic octopus mold, but it also necessitated a lot of space for a fig to stand, which might be part of why it ended up used so scarcely. This new one looks slightly more compact, only around four studs wide instead of more than six. That could make it more versatile overall.

This new version also looks like it's made more of hard plastic, and allows printing (which likely wasn't practical for the previous version's softer plastic surface).

Captain Calamari looks great.  The guard has some great printing.  Really loving these sets and figs.  I do like the new octopus type piece.

Looking at Jay's scuba suit, I'm actually liking the design there. Well, except for the straps and belts. The suit would've looked so much better without them.

I'll admit (with what we've seen) - The scuba suits are starting to grow on me. The helmet is still another story though.

The thing I dislike about the new guard (and the figures using the same mould from SotFS) is the lack of printing on the head. It makes them look more like statues than characters. For the mummies I guess it kind of made sense, but unless these snakes are also reanimated then I don’t know why they can’t have printed eyes. My biggest gripe was with Aspheera, so at least the new Big Bad uses a new (printed) mould.

I agree. I didn't like the snakes in season 11 as they didn't 'feel' like characters. They seemed like robots, their eyes unmoving. I much prefer characters that look and feel 'animated'.

My local Smyths still has Lloyd's Titan Mech in stock somehow, and for £50. I definitely want one of the Titan mechs, but I'm not sure which would be better; Lloyd's or Zane's. I'm aware that Zane's actually has knee articulation but I think I prefer the colour scheme of Lloyd's one (and the minifigure selection)?

Lloyds one is pretty good, but ive had some problems with it longterm, such as the entire wing suit isn't held on very securely and can just fall off sometimes, and its really hard to balance it, but overall id say its pretty good. I prefer the zane mech though, it feels much denser than the Lloyd one. Bear in mind that the season 3 zane will probably come in later sets as well.

I think I'll go with the Zane one at some point then, seems like it's a more refined build all around. And I believe Zane is in the prelims for the the 4+ Bounty so that could be the Possession version of him.

Unfortunately I’m pretty sure it had the legacy 1 versions in, as it also includes Kai and jay, and why would they put the new versions of Kai and jay in a legacy set before the regular sets? It just seems logical that it would include legacy 1’s, as they’re cheap and the kids won’t notice
