For those said to be retiring soon in Lego site, are they really retiring soon? Look like police patrol car has been "retiring" for some time but it is still selling on Amazon.com for long time and the Beach Rescue ATV seems to be too new to "retire soon"

I'm really missing City sets of "one small box 4 minifigure" e.g. Lego 60184. And as far as I remember, 60184 is the last one in recent years. There were a lot of "one small box 4 minifigures" a few years ago which really worth the money but now, I am getting more and more hesitated in buying those small city sets with one minifigure only. What is the possible reason behind? People getting tired of City minifigures and so they don't sell well? Or just because Lego sells so well and so they further reduce the cost by giving less minifigures?

The successor is due in January, so yes, the patrol car is retiring soon. As for the Beach Rescue ATV, it's not the only one to retire, 60279, 60285, 60288, 60289 and 60290 all came out at the same time as 60286 and are now retiring. Maybe they didn't sell that well, or they want to swap these smaller "impulse purchase" sets out for new ones more often than in the past etc.

Ouch dude! Them stunt sets are SELLING. I'm trying to collect all of the standalone bikes. So far, I only have the rocket stunt bike.

The $10 2021 City sets are retiring because they are too good of a deal. They have 80-100+ pieces while the rumours of 2022 $10 sets have like 45-60 pieces.

Remember that retiring means that LEGO will just no longer make new ones. Amazon could have 25,000 police cars in a warehouse somewhere. I have seen modulars sell out 3-4 times as LEGO kept finding more stock in warehouses.

At least LEGO has enough sets left to give 3in1 value packs (66682) to retailers, this year's pack contains 60239, 60241 and 60242 for 30€.

But there is a difference between selling out and being temporarily unavailable and retiring/going out of production. LEGO does not "find" additional sets.

Yes they do, but please go on about USA warehouses from Austria.

In 2018 the two modulars sold out on LEGO a few times. I've seen it happen often. Heck, 10+ years ago the costumer service woman even said that the 3rd party company that does the shipping would get extra stock and find stock of sets.

The Stunt Bike Minifigures are so good.  The alternate faces from wheelie stunt bike and selfie stunt bike are gold.  Gotta thanks the Brick & Pieces service making the parts available.

To be honest, the overall Stuntz sub-theme has some great minifigures too.  For example, the clown.

They'd have to reveal it then. Unless they're so worried about Christmas sales that they hold it off until the 28th.
