Maple Posted January 5, 2021 Posted January 5, 2021 My road plates came in today. The printing on the crosswalk is HORRIBLE to the point I'm requesting a replacement. Really off center and distracting. I don't understand why LEGO can't do printing well after doing it for 40-50 years. Quote
AndreMW Posted January 5, 2021 Posted January 5, 2021 (edited) Does El Corte Inglese not offer quite some of the higher up sets via its online business in Portugal? @Prints Prints of the first run of a new mold series can be quite hit and miss until the machines are calibrated, simply ask for a replacement if it is really bad. Yes but I usually buy my sets in nearby stores, but now I'm starting to buy them in online stores, I got my set 60266 for 100 euros at Toys r us, there the sets are cheaper than the own Lego shop website! And El Corte Ingles sell Lego city sets for higher prices! One time I was trying to buy the capital city for 130 euros but it was already out of stock, the website showed the set available again but it was out of stock again, El Corte Ingles isn't the best Lego seller in my opinion Quote

So what's the excuse for the fact that within the last 4-5 years that LEGO torso prints don't use enough paint and are blurry? They have only been using those mold for 45 years. Quote

fo4saken Posted January 5, 2021 Posted January 5, 2021 I'm wondering... If the Crooks Hideout would be rlsd in March, we should hear some leaks at the end of January right? If summer then somewhere in April? Quote

We call it The Potomac River Water Taxi! Quote
Robert8 Posted January 6, 2021 Posted January 6, 2021 I don't know what to think of the Crooks Hideout set :/ The building itsef looks like something from the early 2000s, which is never good. And the gigantic dynamite stick is too cartoonish Quote

I agree that would make a good set, especially since it would diversify the range of public transport sets that Lego offer. Edited January 6, 2021 by Stuartn Quote
jonwil Posted January 6, 2021 Posted January 6, 2021 I would love to see such a ferry (we have them here in Brisbane too) as a set. Although if we were to get any public transport set, I would put a bendy bus as my most wanted. Quote
fo4saken Posted January 6, 2021 Posted January 6, 2021 (edited) Finally Crappy quality pics but here it is: As I count, it should have 8 minifigs; unique heli with working search light, police dog with harness. Very good set for us with road plates. I should get it for sure! 654 pieces for €99 as it was said. March release? I hope so! Edited January 6, 2021 by fo4saken Quote

rzmpf Posted January 6, 2021 Posted January 6, 2021 Love the fact that the dynamite factory/storage building is 8 studs deep and (if you take the dynamite stick off) you can use it as a pretty generic building in your city. Although the truck seems to be modelled after a PMV Survivor, I would downsize the wheels one size to make it look less comical. Only one new road plate for a building this deep but I guess they had to cut cost somewhere. And I really hope that the 100€ price point will be right , so you can get it for 70€ or less on sale easily. Quote

fo4saken Posted January 6, 2021 Posted January 6, 2021 That brown barrel seems to be movable with something inside for protection. Front door are wide open. And will it be an office above it? The truck is some kind of SWAT vehicle. I am so happy Lego didn't cancel it after all. Can't wait. Quote

Another detail I spotted is that the front wall can be "destroyed" by the swat vehicle, and If I saw well 2 of the exclusive minifigures are Rooky Partnur(makes sense to be here in this set) and Daisy Kaboom, I couldn't see the names because of the blurry image but the other 2 exclusive minifigures minifigures might be Sam Grizzled and a new character I think, the set amazes me and it's so good! The thing that disappointed me was that the dog included is the old dog instead of the new that appeared on sets 60291 and 60292 but it's not bad at all and I'm wondering about the torso of a unnamed female officer minifigure, it uses the same color as the 2014 police officer's torsos but it looks a bit different, Can't wait to see better images of the set! Hmm... I'd like Medical, maybe Cargo (w/ harbor), a TV theme would be cool (w/ studio, mobile unit, ...) and more city life sets would be cool (like buses, taxis, parks, ...) Quote
fo4saken Posted January 6, 2021 Posted January 6, 2021 @Powered by Bricks you are right man, on the box picture there are two gfx effects: swat truck hits front left door/gate and it falls inside the building. Second effect is behind that small red car, maybe there is some kind of launcher inside garage? I wonder how the heli will work... Will one rotor rotate one side and second one inversely? Hmm...
