LEGO City 60300 animal rescue quad

The set with the number 60300, the animal rescue quad, has an RRP of 9.99 euros and comprises 74 parts. For this you get a quad with a drone (who would have thought it), as well as a small tree with a scorpion and two monkeys . The latter is probably a new form, they should only consist of one part. In view of the price, it was to be expected that no more complex animals would be included. A minifigure as the driver of the quad will of course also be included.

LEGO City 60301 Animal Rescue Vehicle

The LEGO City 60301 Animal Rescue Vehicle will be a set from the 4+ series . It will include the name- giving off-road vehicle , a mini jet ski , a lioness and some built terrain. We reckon with three minifigures at a price of 44.99 euros.

LEGO City 60302 animal rescue mission

The LEGO City 60302 animal rescue mission is the second largest set of the wildlife wave, and this set should be an absolute highlight for all those who have long wanted a few "pachyderms" back in the LEGO system world: After ours It should contain information from two elephants, one adult and one baby elephant . We are also expecting a crocodile  and two of the new monkeys . In addition, the set contains a small research station and a tracked vehicle (each made of just a handful of parts), some built grass and water terrain with lots of plant parts, and one Helicopter with winch .

As a game feature, a tree that can be felled as well as some boulders should be included, which for example separate the baby elephant from its mother, so that it has to be saved from the crocodile. We expect at least four minifigures . The MSRP will be 89.99 euros for 525 parts.

Awesome!

But one thing i think is missing. There is supposed to include a cub in 60301, according to Itaria. And i Dino if it would be lion Ness or maned lion. I’m expecting got have a lion with new head mold, of course.

I am sure their source is a retailer catalogue as well, so it is just preliminary pictures and things may change. I am pretty sure we will get a lion with a new head mould even if the pictures do not say so yet  We will now for sure closer to summer :excited:

Oh, that makes sense - I totally forgot about “preliminary” part.Thank you for jumpin in, Roebuck!

Yes, we are pretty sure to get a lion with a new head mold. Lego, I beg you to give us one!

Thankfully, February is a shortest month, it makes us move closer to the spring sooner! :)

Oh my goodness finally!! This is such a strong and promising year for lego city. While themes like Star Wars and DC Superheroes feel like shadows of their former selves, city has really improved drastically over the years. Can’t wait for the new lion mold, can’t wait for the elephant. I was actually just thinking about how many new animal molds I wanted to see in Lego. Excited for the monkey, if its one piece I wonder what pose it will be in, I really would love to see a modern take on the sort of climbing monkey mold Lego used to use in the 90’s (?). Hoping the builds are all exciting because I will gleefully throw money at this. Can’t say City has been slacking because the hospital that released in 2014? I believe was very impressive, the 2013 city square was amazing and this theme always has a few gems hidden even in waves I otherwise disregarded.

I actually may end up collecting most of this wave and I hope the nature conservation subtheme sticks around. Artic got a little old but was handled well when they did it. Fire and Police sell well obviously and have had both good and repetitive releases but this? Oh my goodness this needs to stick around. Not sure what other potential city subthemes I’d ask for. If the theme looks to depict real world scenarios in play settings, Police/Fire make sense, Artic exploration was as expanded as it could get, but I’d say I could feasibly see them producing sets based on farming like they did in 2010, and maybe more hospital themed sets with a wave dedicated to first responders saving in the same way that we have received sets with firefighters and police to the rescue. Imagine sets with nurses doctors, medics, and other specialists engaging in life saving behaviors in different locations responding to different  incidents. Picture a small rock build depicting a mountainous opening, a figure with their arm logged in, a small tent for on scene medics to perform surgery, lots of tools and a small helicopter that airlifted them down to perform a life saving procedure. Maybe I’m delusional but I’d enjoy a subtheme exploring medics in the way we’ve received other professions at the center of City. Also maybe botanists and like a plant themed wave, with small outdoor gardening sets, a botanical garden mega set, and other nature themed sets. Animals I think are some of the easiest ways to incorporate nature but I hope we continue seeing lego explore different sub themes  for city. Also forgive me if this was all redundant I am unaware if Lego city has had an animal rescue subtheme before.

Ghhh and the lion!! Cannot wait for the lion.

I am glad this year has picked up. I think the last couple of years have actually been a little underwhelming (with strong exceptions like the tuning workshop), coming off the great years between 2012 to 2016. But I agree that this year has most certainly been an improvement. I think that the 1hy was brilliant and this 2hy is actually sounding really good too.

Some hospital sets would be good. Some ambulance services are actually trialling jetpacks now, and there are (even in dry countries like Australia) snow and alpine ambulance units, yet it seems to be a opportunity TLG frequently overlook, despite it being a perfect balance of action and realism.

A bit off topic but related to your post (even though your reference was on topic), I am glad that Star Wars should improve in the 2hy too.

Nice! So there's nothing about the other sets?

There is no news of other products yet.

Ok thx, so with all this information, we've got a small info about 60307:that is the biggest set of wildlife and(probably) the biggest city summer set, as I said I think that the set would include a big research station/base with small vehicles(4-studs off road vehicle, and a small boat), and if the other 3 sets have a nature zone included, that means that probably we will get a small nature zone with some trees and new animals(some can be found in the cheaper sets and some can be exclusives to the set)

Now for 60308, my thoughts are that the set will be a mobile police unit, with a small building(just like 7743), a small police vehicle and a crook's car/motorbike, I really want a new mobile police unit, if this unknown set would be a mobile police unit, it could have a great detailed truck

I'm still sad that we're not going to have a D2C set (not counting the arena, the rescue operation and the camp):cry3:

The set I'm not caring about is the advent calendar, but it would the same thing like the most recent one or something new with animal rescuers, citizens, exclusive minifigures from the TV show and some stunt guys?

I think the 60295 stunt show arena will be similar to the SpongeBob Squarepants 4982 released in 2007.

I think it will look like this

And the crocodile might be the same thing as it is in Hidden Side 70419.

If you think so, please explain it. I have this set and I said my positive thoughts few pages back with photo.

Anyway, I'm so down due to lack of news about Crooks Hideout :pir-bawling:

Is that confirmed information for these sets? Or pure speculations?

Those are my thoughts, not leaks

I agree, it could carry any vehicle, the older sets couldn't even transport a truck, but this new one can handle that

The new tractor has already sold out in my local mall, from what I can see it is the only set that is sold out as well. This do not neceserrely mean anything other than that I live in rural area with a lot of farms, however hopefully that is the case in a lot of places so it will increase the chance for a new farm subtheme

Hopefully something more akin to 7743, or the 2011 and 2014 versions, which I think were better aesthetically than the 2016 version. A small police station would be good, or maybe a small crooks hideout. I guess, if that is what it is, there would be a police motorbike and a 4 wide crooks vehicle, which has been the standard since 2011, but I think the overall composition of the 2008 set with the building was better and could make a return. I am guessing it won't be a helicopter transporter since we had one of those last year (and it wasn't very popular) and a better one in 2014.

Not surprising given the new 2x2x2/3 part in both tan and black appearing in that set.

I do not think kids (i assume they are ending up with the sets bought on my local mall) care much about that, however that could be a selling point for AFOLs indeed

I have bad feelings about 60278 Crooks Hideout. 12 days left until March 1st and there is no official news. I don't like to be pessimist and still have hope, however... I compared Lego Friends 41444 online instructions; one from early January (left side) and second from present day (right side). And well... it seems like TLG made some changes on the last pages. Sad but take a look by yourself guys:

It's not going out on March 1st. I think that's clear.  But LEGO did just reveal a whole damn new theme less than two weeks from release so never say never.
