TeriXeri Posted June 4, 2021 Posted June 4, 2021 (edited) By the time it's Christmas 2021, the 2018 hospital has retired 2 full years, makes zero sense to put it in the calendar with 2021 set models. A hospital probably would show up later like the Ski Resort, Main Square etc have, maybe at LEGO-Con. And since the last 2018 City Hospital came 1 year after the Friends 2017 Hospital, wouldn't surprise me to have a 2021 City Hospital appear after the 2020 Friends Hospital The main thing that makes me doubt however it looks like there's a microscale yellow green bus , which was from 2017, unless there's going to be a new one too. It doesn't look like any hospital that we've ever received. 1 hour ago, TeriXeri said: The main thing that makes me doubt however it looks like there's a microscale yellow green bus , which was from 2017, unless there's going to be a new one too. I hope its a bendy bus Quote
dimitri_bricks Posted June 4, 2021 Posted June 4, 2021 From my point of view the small hospital build is clearly inspired from the 2018 hospital (set 60204), even the ambulance is there. For the yellow/green bus it's IMO a direct inspiration from the bus station (set 60154) from 2017. The small firefighters helicopter looks inspired from the set 60281 and the small monster truck with yellow wheels is inspired by the incoming set 60295. Quote
Lion King Posted June 4, 2021 Posted June 4, 2021 I was googling to see if I could a foil pack lawn mower. Is tht one some of you were talked about? https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?S=951903-1#T=S&O={"iconly":0} Quote
TeriXeri Posted June 5, 2021 Posted June 5, 2021 The Stuntz truck seems directly inspired by the LEGO Island Xtreme truck, which would be 20 years old in 2022. https://brickset.com/sets/6739-1/Truck-Stunt-Trikes Also the Rocket Racer will probably be very popular due to LEGO Racers game. Overall I like the idea behind the theme (being a big fan of Trials bike stunt video games, which allow building own race tracks), but intially seems pricey due to the Flywheel tech behind it. Quote
Lion King Posted June 5, 2021 Posted June 5, 2021 Oh, there are two recolored anglerfish molds in one of these Stuntz sets? Quote

jonwil Posted June 5, 2021 Posted June 5, 2021 That review of the police and fire set makes me want it even more. Not only do I collect police stations (so I need it for my collection) but we don't get many police stations/buildings that are near water (the last ones we got were the Prison Island and the Swamp Police Station and before that, the Metro PD Station and the Pier Police) Quote

Yeah, with more detail spotting, I can see clearly that, I can be wrong but it's weird to have a set with small scale builds of older sets,it's okay if we don't get a new Hospital, but this small scale one does not look too good to me Edited June 5, 2021 by Powered by Bricks Quote
TeriXeri Posted June 5, 2021 Posted June 5, 2021 (edited) I didn't like last year calendar, but if they will use microscales of old sets, I think they end up even weaker, unless people actively follow LEGO sets history, it's weird to put in 3-4 old sets that have been retired for over a year. Last year, and 2018 used microscale of sets from the same year. I prefer small but useful builds like the 2019 calendar instead of microscales, maybe the Friends Calendar will have that.
