Jundis Posted August 23, 2020 Posted August 23, 2020 (edited) Hi guys, I'd like to present you my little MOC of a tractor or better speaking a universal carrier called RS09 from the former GDR from the 50s. In reality, it was the base for the T157 crane, which @jrx did a while ago. When I saw the RS09 as a little kid, I always wondered, why it had no engine in the front like normal tractors do... Just saw this on my holidays in my hometown and had to build it. The normal technic bricks for the front are like a match made in heaven for this thing. I tried to recreate the high versatility of the original while maintaining full playability: - Steering - Oscillating front axle - Fake V2 engine - CV-joint shafts front and back, driven by the wheels - Linkage drawbar Suitable for this set, I built an easily attachable front loader. I still work on other machinery to be attached like a tedder, a plow, a mower bar and a flatbed. Edited August 23, 2020 by Jundis Quote

Mechbuilds Posted August 23, 2020 Posted August 23, 2020 Very nice job! So compact and clever use of that shoulder pad as a chair. Quote
Jundis Posted August 23, 2020 Author Posted August 23, 2020 Thanks guys! Just been working with the Instructions Maker in Stud.io and it's way easier for such a model than I first thought. If anyone is interested in the in the instruction, just let me know, I will give them for free. Quote
BusterHaus Posted August 23, 2020 Posted August 23, 2020 Awesome job, so many functions in a tight space. Quote

MangaNOID Posted August 24, 2020 Posted August 24, 2020 Lovely tractor!! Well done I can’t figure out what the black 12t gear does underneath in front of the diff? Quote

Well done I can’t figure out what the black 12t gear does underneath in front of the diff? Thanks :-) It is connected to a CV-joint shaft to enable to drive different machinery like a mower bar. This however is rather hard to do in such a tight space... Edited August 24, 2020 by Jundis Quote
Jundis Posted September 16, 2020 Author Posted September 16, 2020 Just submitted this MOC to Lego ideas, let's see how it performs :D https://ideas.lego.com/projects/ce7ab16d-e57f-4d9a-a89d-310ed33b85ef So for now, I won't publish the instructions cause they somehow collide with the agreement of Lego ideas, I guess.
