JShortForJay Posted August 27, 2020 Posted August 27, 2020 (edited) *Your entry has earned 8 XP* The Broker's information was good. He was right; the Imps on the ground were dropping off a delivery of goods for the fleet in orbit. The blockade at Uyter had restricted trade and exports, denying the people basics like food while the Imps had free reign to take what they wanted from the planet. Olen and his team were going to ambush the Imps and liberate the cargo. If the galaxy couldn't have Uyter's food trade, neither could the Empire. The troops put up a good fight... at first. They weren't a squadron expecting a fight. Or prepared for one. They expected a quiet drop off, Olen and his crew didn't give them one. The Imps fell one by one as the darkness of the approaching night grew around them. In the sky a ship approached, it wasn't one of theirs. They were running out of time, Maerru the hulking Iktotchi, threw down his cannon and began loading the crates onto swoop bikes. As the approaching transport ship landed, death troopers filed out behind a woman in the garb of an ISB agent. One of Pyerce's forces perhaps? Olen's team had already loaded the crates of supplies when a trooper launched a thermal detonator right at them. It knocked them flying in their escape but they were already fleeing to the bikes as the troops raised their weapons. As Olen flew away he met the stare the ISB agent, watching them depart. Spoiler I'm happy with what I came up with in the little time I had, which all spawned from this idea of the landing pad at the front of the build. Here's some more pictures of the base build. I'm happy with the detail I got in and the explosion was fun to figure out. The isb agent was a little fun after thought as a sort of secondary antagonist for future builds. n1majneb Posted August 27, 2020 Posted August 27, 2020 I really like the colours used in the landscaping and i like the subtle detailing within the landing pad too. excellent part usage with the missile launcher bricks Looking forward to reading more about this story too! Quote
Tariq j Posted August 27, 2020 Posted August 27, 2020 Very good work and story. I like how you’ve managed to integrate the landing pad into the natural landscape. Quote
RocketBoy Posted August 27, 2020 Posted August 27, 2020 It's simple but it works so well, the colors and the details are great. Great storytelling! Love seeing justice stand up to Imperials. Quote
Ross Fisher Posted August 30, 2020 Posted August 30, 2020 Great build Jay, and really clean. Am I right in thinking it's structurally sound as well? You could hold it upside down and nothing would fall off? Quote
MKJoshA Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Very nice, very "clean." In a good way! Quote
