Out of pure curiosity, no snarky comments I promise (and @Bublehead sorry if I mis-attributed the term to you) what exactly does "Lego guilt" refer to in AFOL parlance? I mean, I can take a gander, but I assume there is a specific meaning to the reference when used by AFOLs. Anyone? Quote

I have spent much more time building, putting time into all the ideas I have been meaning to get to, and filling out my collection via local sales and online ordering. My collection has grown by leaps and bounds! Quote

Could have two possible meanings though: A) the flush of shame when forced to admit to contemporaries that one spends much of one's time and money on plastic toys B) the pursuit of such self-interest when the world at large is going substantially to the dogs. It really is a very insular hobby. But hey. Here we are, never having met and probably in different countries enjoying a converasation about it. I enjoy looking at other people's creativity on mocpages and flickr. I sometimes post something and enjoy the attention it may receive. Eurobricks etc. is a fine avenue for making lego a social experience as well as an insular one and should be celebrated for that. Quote

Okay, I thought as much. I am a pretty avid Lego fan, and I have never really heard it used on any consistent basis. If it were to have some common usage, I think I would have heard it by now. BTW.... I think mocpages died. Thus why my signature block doesn't really work right now. Which reminds me...... Edited September 9, 2020 by nerdsforprez Quote
