sam89 Posted June 27, 2004 Posted June 27, 2004 Well I've just seen Shrek 2, since there's previews today in the UK. I wont really say much, because it would give away the story and the jokes, but I'll say that the film was very good, and that if you liked the first one, you should definatly go and see this one. It's probably not as good as the first one, but few sequels are. It's still really good and very enjoyable though.
jonfett Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 Cool, I am going to see it this weekend. I am looking forwards to seeing it as I want to see how it compares to the first, which was brilliant! The only thing that annoys me is that most of the funny parts are shown in the trailers, so you know half the jokes already. Still, I am sure the film will surprise me. Jon.
ApophisV Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 The only thing that annoys me is that most of the funny parts are shown in the trailers, so you know half the jokes already thats a problem of the most movies in the last years... think at matrix reloaded... there where some cool scenes (that means cool effects), e.g. the scene where the agent jumps on the car and removes the roof... but this scene was shown in every trailer and every making of and all over the internet... everywhere you saw it... and THAN you sat in the cinema, and you thought only... "and? nothing new"....
Jipay Posted July 1, 2004 Posted July 1, 2004 the worst are the movies you already know the end by seeing the trailer.
Jipay Posted July 5, 2004 Posted July 5, 2004 Well I finally went to see shrek 2 and I was really pleased by this movie. It was good from the beginning to the end with and I laughed a lot. I prefere it comparred to the first one. Spoiler* One thing that anoyed me : they could have stayed as humans. This "you are ugly but I love you" thing just disturb me. All the movie is about killing taboos and they make a concensual (is this the right word jon ?) end.
sam89 Posted July 5, 2004 Author Posted July 5, 2004 ********Spoiler*********** I think the reason that they turned them back is that there is going to be a Shrek 3 & 4 afterwards, so they still need to be ogres.
Jipay Posted July 6, 2004 Posted July 6, 2004 Well thats also what I thought. The door is opened for a 3 and a 4. I can see fom here they'll have childs. Life sucks sometimes. They had a wonderfull concept but as usual, they will try to make the more money possible out of it.
