Count Vroskri Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Hello, not many words from me, these pics speak for themselves. These are my BSB Recolours. The studio file came from Humble Bricks. Number one : The Black Pearl Here I added an extra mast. Number Two: Imperial Brig Number Three : Brick Bounty II Thanks, C and C appreciated as always. Count Vroski Quote
Brickander Brickumnus Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Uploading photos of greater quality will be greatly appreciated. I like #1. Can you also do a Caribbean Clipper recolor version? Quote
Count Vroskri Posted September 3, 2020 Author Posted September 3, 2020 @Brickander Brickumnus These are on Stud. Io, so uploading renders takes quite a while. It takes about an hour and a half for a recolour, so I have to make time for it in my schedule. It is a very good idea though. Quote
evancelt Posted September 5, 2020 Posted September 5, 2020 Looking good! What are the bricks used to make the furled sails? Quote
Count Vroskri Posted September 5, 2020 Author Posted September 5, 2020 @evancelt Hope this helps: Some sails are different sizes and shapes, as you can imagine, each colour is a different part. That's the back. Here's the BP stern. Quote

Cousarmy0001 Posted September 5, 2020 Posted September 5, 2020 So I was going with #2, but now I see the Nelson style, and damn... Quote
Count Vroskri Posted September 5, 2020 Author Posted September 5, 2020 @Cousarmy0001 It does look great. I have a carribbean clipper version, which is rendering. @Brickander Brickumnus Here's the Carribbean Clipper. Quote

Governor Mister Phes Posted September 7, 2020 Governor Posted September 7, 2020 What a fine fleet! Posted in the Classic Pirates Facebook Group. Quote
Count Vroskri Posted September 7, 2020 Author Posted September 7, 2020 @Mister Phes Thanks so much! I'm in the group so seeing them was a pleasant surprise. @Brickander Brickumnus Thanks, it turned out way better than I expected. Quote
Cousarmy0001 Posted September 8, 2020 Posted September 8, 2020 The Clipper is good- better than a lot of the ones I've seen online where they just change the flags and sails, at least. Best bluecoat version of the ship to date. It's only #3 for me, though. I'm still torn between the Imperial and the Nelsonian schemes. I think what I like best about the Imperial scheme is that it really accentuates the tumblehome, which is probably the coolest thing about this set for me. But the black and yellow of the Nelson scheme is just so perfectly balanced... Quote
Count Vroskri Posted September 8, 2020 Author Posted September 8, 2020 @Cousarmy0001 Thanks, that's probably why I like it so much too. Quote
Blackheart Brit Posted September 9, 2020 Posted September 9, 2020 The Caribbean clipper version is great but the rear seems to black. Could.oyu make that rail yellow or brown to tone down the black. Maybe more blue and white could do it too. Quote
Count Vroskri Posted September 10, 2020 Author Posted September 10, 2020 @Blackheart Brit If you look at The Clipper, there are a lot of black accents. Because of the build of the barracuda there are of pieces that are connecting to others that seem to connect to segments of different colours. Not all the curve are the same piece, and it would look super blocky and wrong. Quote
PirateRoberts Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 The white and blue #2. but the nelson is really great as well! Quote
Count Vroskri Posted September 13, 2020 Author Posted September 13, 2020 @PirateRoberts Thanks! Quote

I wonder if keeping the same amount of yellow as in the standard set would work for this. Quote
Count Vroskri Posted September 14, 2020 Author Posted September 14, 2020 (edited) To make you guys feel better, I'll render some of the stern of the carribbean clipper on the weekend. Edited September 14, 2020 by Count Vroskri Quote
