Road Runner has 3 new molds!

They gave 3 new molds to the worst one of the series

Wow, just wow. They could've saved so much money if they just made him one specialised mold :laugh_hard: (not really of course, if unfelt the packet will still sell)

Are Roadrunner's and Daffy's heads triple-molded? I was afraid the eye printing will look pale, but these look fabulous! Wonder who else will get such a treatment? From the look of it it could be Sylvester, at least I assume the nose might be too bulky to be printed all around. Also Lola, but I thing it's possible her hair and ears are a separate piece.

On the down side, Marvin doesn't have alternate expression :ugh: The only character with a minifigure head and it's not dual sided, real shame. That solidifies him as one of my least favourite

Finally it has happened though my mind goes back to Lego Ideas I swear there was more than one Looney Tunes themed idea ?

I can't wait to buy them all, they will be customed to the hilt.

I might moc up a Duck Dogers ;)

I’m surprised the reception to these have been overwhelming positive! I thought the simplistic designs and for the most part boring accessories wouldn’t have been popular. I hope this means there’ll be strong sales and thus a series 2 where we could get the humans! :3 This is the first series since DC where I’ll be buying the whole set. :)

RR has always been one of my favourite characters, and I was hoping he would be a specific mini fig. Have to say - don’t think they’ve done him justice with the standard body and legs, but the more I see of him, the more I like him. The moveable crest and the tail are both great, and that head is excellent

Yeah, that does seem odd.

Not far off my thoughts - but I’d suggest Lola and Wile E variants for the last two spots

Just when I thought Space Jam couldn't look worse they add what's her name from Star Trek.

Road Runner has three new molds? He only has three pieces and is a mess. I see two new pieces.

They should have done him like they did a Trolls figure. Chicken legs attach to special body and at the very least a special head with a freaking neck!

Head, crest, tail.

Pepe le Pew has no chance, so Penelope Pussycat is out too.

I am fan of old school Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies cartoons from the 1930s and 1940s.  As Petunia Pig is arguably the most well known original era female character, I just assumed she was a given.  I am surprised so many have never heard of her.  That is like a Disney cartoon fan saying they never heard of Daisy Duck.

Really? Petunia was in very few animations and did pretty much nothing for the best part of thirty years because she was a secondary character to Porky, and his popularity waned in the Forties. And even then she didn’t become a recurring character until another thirty years had passed. She’s had more attention in the last twenty years than in the previous sixty, by a significant margin. I don’t think you’d have to look too far to find people who could recognise Daisy before Petunia.

The RR plume being a separate piece has upped his usefulness. Now I need a bunch of him for that alone. I'll have to experiment with the rest of the parts.

Here's hoping we did not just get another $1 increase!

Nah. It's just the store the person bought them at. I have seen CMF for $8 at a local toy shop. haha

Space Jam 2 will suck.  Lebron James is horrible.

He totally lacks the charisma / charm Michael Jordan had

Yeah I agree and the fact that he is a total tool in my own opinion makes the movie a no go for me.  Not that I agree with everything Jordan does.  But Jordan had it on and off the court.  Lebron is a cry baby on and off the court.  I personally don't respect him even though I like Looney Tunes I won't be watching this movie.

I don’t really have any connection to the original Space Jam outside of same vague memories of watching it when I was young. This new movie looks fine, but I feel every studio is trying to recapture the whole “most ambitious crossover event” now and it’s kinda getting old.

The new movie looks like if the OG Space Jam was getting made in a world after the release of both Wreck-It Ralphs, The Emoji Movie and Ready Player One (throw together a bunch of things and properties people can go "OH! I KNOW THAT!" at) and 3D animation was finally more cost effective. Wasn't expecting a new Roger Rabbit or something but... Yikes, this is looking disgustingly by the numbers.

We can only hope that the box office numbers doesn't reflect on the Lego sales; I want that Series 2 for at least a Duck Dodgers, damn it.

Or even Duck Twacy, Daffy Hood or... Green Loontern!

I will singlehandedly buy 3 whole boxes of Looney Tunes if it means we get a Series 2 with Duck Dodgers and Green Loontern.

Which is a good thing... in a way. Don't forget, first Space Jam - as much as I like to rewatch it once in a while - is not that good of a movie. Under the gimmick of Michael Jordan meeting Bugs Bunny, it's just another family sports movie like Mighty Ducks or Angels in the outfield. Plot wise the original was very much by the numbers, so Space Jam 2 being by today's numbers makes some sort of sense. And at least I'm glad it's the Ready Player One and Wreck it Ralph numbers, not the Smurfs, Alvin and the Chipmunks or the recent Tom and Jerry.

The only alternate Daffy we need:

... I just had a horrible thought in the back of my mind of the possibility that Lego'd release Green Loontern as a SDCC DC minifig. Unlikely? Sure. Impossible? No. Just the sort of thing Lego would do? Absolutely.

Saw Space Jam as a teen for the first time so I definitely don't have that nostalgia for it (although I do have it for Back in Action from '03 which is also... Yeah, I get that mindset :laugh_hard:); to me, it's a feature length Jordan/Nike commercial where the best things to come out of it are the soundtrack and Lola for more female representation in the roster.

... Dear God, whatever argument I was actually gonna make just went out the window when I looked at the sequel's wiki and saw that it, in its production history from '97 on to LeBron signed on, had been considered to be Spy Jam with Jackie Chan, Race Jam with Jeff Gordon (race car driver, that title though; oof), a golf movie with Tiger Woods was pitched (probably Golf Jam, if I'm sensing the theme right) and Skate Jam with Tony Hawk was actually planned to start development directly after Back in Action before that movie crashed at the box office. ... Yeah, this movie was never gonna be anything else than a photo copy of the cinema zeitgeist with a sports icon and I almost feel naive for hoping otherwise. :sceptic:

D2C buildable Duck Amuck Daffy? Hell, I'd buy it.

Back In Action was an utter waste, which I couldn't even finish watching. One of the bits of schlock Brendan Fraser has done since his star power waned.

If we were to get Duck Dodgers, which version of Cadet Pig do we think more likely, green leotard or lavender jumpsuit?
