Arthur furrows his brow at the engineer's ambiguities, "But why would someone shut down the FTL? Aside from the inconvenience and some slight injuries... are they trying to sabotage Blue Star's reputation?"

Arthur inspects the door trying to determine whether or not the electronic key system would work or if they'd have to return with a tool.

You should be able to access it, but only with the rest of the party.

Gabriella tries to call the missing passengers through the lounge's terminal.

Gabriella would like to unplug the modem and plug it back in to see if she can get the network running again. She would also like to download the news app.

There's no answer. It would seem that unplugging and re-plugging the modem is successful. She's able to download the app.

I would like to examine the newspaper for a sudoku. I like doing sudoku.

All you find is a crossword puzzle and a Peanuts cartoon strip.

Charlotte finds her political smile and turns away to surreptitiously examine the other guests and crew for signs of greasy or injured hands, or other evident injuries.

Captain Bennett and Engineer Palmer both have greasy hands. As for injuries, you can't really tell if anyone else is injured, besides Sophie who seems to have injured herself with a pencil.

"They were not authorized. They shut down only the FTL drive, the sensors and the lights, yet were able to keep the other systems going. While I am able to search the sensor logs for certain data, it appears that some of the logs may have been manipulated. I used my classified access to try and learn more, but they covered their tracks fairly well. The terminal the saboteur used has currently been isolated. Nobody will be allowed to access it until we have the appropriate forensic tools to learn more."

Gabriella slaps George, who has clearly gone into hysterics.

The wa-wa-wa of a sad trombone sounds somewhere inside Emily's head.

Somewhere in the vicinity of brass instrument sounds, Emily replays the security footage in her head. She notices a mysterious dark object between the newspaper and the chef.

I would like to approach, inspect, and pick up the mysterious dark object between the newspaper and the chef to see what it is and whether it has anything interesting.

There's some alcoholic bottles that were kept in place in bottle holsters in the event of sudden turbulence. A few glasses hang from the top as well.

That's the menu stand. It's just fallen over.

Is that the only cubby over there? If not, I'd like to search the others. I'd also like to shake the newspaper to see if there are any notes or other papers mixed in with it.

Gabriella addresses the entire room.

"So, should we vote to check out the kitchen or the cabins of the missing passengers? Personally, I think we should check on the missing passengers first."

I secure a pair of bottles for the two of us.

I vote we search the cabins. Dibs on Ezra's jacket if he's dead.

"Agreed, it may get a bit tight squeezing everyone into the hall at once, but it's probably safer to keep everyone accounted for."

Definitly the missing passengers. Something's definitely not right there.

You can try, but I don't think it'll go well. Instead, you download the news app.

Underneath the bar there'sd some more bottles and glasses. Some of the bottles have smashed open due to not being stowed properly. There's also olives, cherries, and other alcohol-related preparation equipment like shakers and a space-blender. You can't tell if there's anything too suspect beneath there.

You shake open the newspaper, but nothing else comes out except for an advertisement for a popular furniture store on Earth. It seems that Oliver and Emily had already thoroughly seached the newspaper before you.

George steals from the bar.

The group has mostly decided to search the cabins of the absent passengers. Which one will you search first?

Emily is glad to have the news app installed on her phone, should the interstellar internet be restored and she be able to get updates, particularly regarding the curiously standoffish Charlotte Sawyer. She is also glad to be able to move out of the lounge, where it seems there is nothing of much consequence to find.

”Not sure it matters whom we check on when, so I’m happy to visit Alfie first.”

I’d like to pinch some olives if I can for Colin in case he gets a bit peckish later.

Gabriella, before following Arthur out of the lounge, heavily rolls her eyes at Jack. The severity of the situation has minimized any sense of Blue Star customer relations training Gabriella had in her.

"You don't need to put hair on the doors, megablock. The ship has sensors...oh, but someone messed with them. You know what, stuffy guy? You're smarter than you look. Put hair on all the doors, stat. You know what, on second thought, your hair looks old and frail. Take some of mine."

Gabriella finds the paring knife for the citrus behind the bar and removes a huge swath of hair from her beautifully quaffed hair bagel and hands it to the pretentious author bitch.

"Use gaffers tape to secure it to every cabinet, door and drawer that you have access to. Wait the megabluck a minute. Why don't we just use the gaffers tape?"

Gabriella hands Mr. Mallory her roll of gaffers tape and takes her hair back.

"Give me a strip of that so I can tape my hair back in place, please."

Gruffly turning to follow Arthur, she stops and turns back to Jack.

"Good thinking, civilian. Thank you."

"I will do What I like, thank you veyr much."

Arthur moves toward Mr. Peck's room
