Most videos and photos I saw it wasn't closed properly. The problem is that it's a tight fit (some stress on parts required), plus there are lots of cables underneath which need to be tucked away to make room. Quote
LvdH Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 It is a tight fit but for most people it won’t close shut because of the little stand. It has to fold down, not back. Quote
astyanax Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 We can't bend pieces in a virtual model. Here we see the front beam overlaps by almost half a module. Perhaps removing one of at its connection point on each side makes it easier to close... I'll test it when I finally get around to finish building it Quote

In terms of lines crossing with the front end parts - I would agree on this part. Otherwise I can assure you the bonnet can be closed entirely without any problems if the double hinges pushed back entirely, battery box underneath and wiring installed properly, the mentioned stand tilted forward, not backward. Most people don´t do one of these so it doesn´t close and that´s it. Most collectors do. I have followed your suggestion - it looks bad: Edited November 20, 2020 by brunojj1 Quote

Later I realized a better way to move back the front beam would be to keep the double but replace the #1 connector underneath by . That would also allow fine-tuning the exact placement of the front beam so as to close the gap but without stress. Anyway, all of this is hypothesis -- I'll experiment myself later. JunkstyleGio Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 If you put the cables nicely down (well kind of nice..) All will close perfectly. Quote
amorti Posted November 20, 2020 Author Posted November 20, 2020 You can re-use the twisty ties they use to package the motor wires for that purpose. Quote

grego18f Posted November 24, 2020 Posted November 24, 2020 I have built my copy. Wow, what a car... There are crazy connections everywhere. But the Cada quality has an impact as the servo for the steering died in less than 5 minutes... Did anyone experienced this? If so, is there a way to fix it? Quote
JunkstyleGio Posted November 24, 2020 Posted November 24, 2020 @grego18f Mine workes fine. Think you had a bad one. See PM! . Quote

You can if course use any servo to replace the bad one or I have a spare new type CaDA servo, if you want to replace it with the same. Make me an offer on PM. Quote
thekoRngear Posted November 25, 2020 Posted November 25, 2020 A Quick question: the quick and easy fix that Brunojj1 has posted as PDF on YT, those required parts are available within the set, right? Also, how are the fixes, when they are applied? Quote
JunkstyleGio Posted November 25, 2020 Posted November 25, 2020 Fixes1 and 2 are to be put in the build during the building proces... Afterwards is quite the job. Fix 3 needs 2 parts Fix 4 needs no parts. Result for 3 and 4 is satisfactory! Quote

Also, how are the fixes, when they are applied? The two parts are the technic bricks with two holes. You might want to use 4x Lego technic bricks here, since it feels like maybe the CaDA studs are a little loose into the fence? Could be normal though, this isn't a type of connection I've used often! They're like 5c a piece with your next Bricklink order. They're really easy to get to afterwards too, so it can definitely wait. Quote
