I ordered it Thursday night ...australian time and received it Tuesday morning Australian time and i only paid for standard shipping. My order also included some pick a brick elements and it was advised that it may take almost a month. I have been totally blown away by this speed and this is quicker than when i have paid for express shipping in the past

My order also included some pick a brick elements and it was advised that it may take almost a month.I have been totally blown away by this speed and this is quicker than when i have paid for express shipping in the past I'm an Aussie and I wish I could say I'd had the same experience . Before they changed their distribution centre, I used to order on a Tuesday or Wednesday, get a shipping notification on Friday morning, and usually receive the items by the next Thursday or Friday - so a week and a bit in all. Not bad for standard service. However, since they've changed their distribution centre I've found I always get a shipping notification on Saturday am but the actual arrival is never the week after the order - often sometime the week after or even the one after that. Technically this falls within the 18 business days advised so there's no real reason to complain - it's just annoying after having had reliable service for a long time. However, I've also had one package this year not arrive within 18 business days at all. When it did arrive, it arrived with a new order that had been placed 2 weeks after the initial one! At least TLC refunded the shipping on that one. I've given up predicting as it's now such a lottery. I also wonder if they've changed their distribution at the receiving end, as sometimes now I get boxes stamped Australia Post 'Parcel Post' whereas I thought it was supposed to be a courier delivery.
May 28, 200816 yr Wow, thanks for the great heads up for us Aussies :D. I'm was tempted to order the new MM 7644 Hypersonic Operations Aircraft set a couple of days ago but I put it off because of the expensive express shipping. On both occasions i ordered late in the month, dont know if that makes any difference. I would be interest if other aussies have experienced quick service, i know on the other hand sinner waited for ever for his green grocer.

I'd be interested to hear what others have to say as well, which is why I posted my gloomy response! Please don't take it as representative. I know one guy got his Green Grocer superfast whereas others (such as Sinner) had to wait. That said, with sets that are due to come out on shelves soon I wouldn't bother with Shop at Home eg a lot of the coast guard stuff seems to have hit ebay australia in the last 24 hours, which is usually a sign they're out in stores (or will be soon). On the other hand, in January I got the cargo stuff and Indy classic sets as I knew they wouldn't be released here until April/ March. Unfortunately without knowing release dates its hard to pick which ones to get from S@H -hopefully the June catalogue will clear things up with respect to retail release dates.
June 2, 200816 yr It really is much better value to wait for the toy sales in Australia. They're so frequent here and usually about 15-20% off, sometimes even 25%. Infact, I've never actually purchased a Lego set at full-price, and I've bought 25 sets since I got back into Lego last year. I don't even buy Lego now unless it's on sale. Some of the Australian prices on S@H are ridiculous though. The UCS Millenium Falcon is $1000 for us, but it can be had for less than USD$500 on ebay. The Sancrawler is AUD$300, but only USD$140. I bought mine off Bricklink and saved myself $150.

I have also made my first Lego Shop@Home purchase order last Friday night (towards midnight) but yet to receive any dispatched confirmation as at today Tuesday. I guess that's normal? I am just a bit too excited at the moment with my order placed (Market Street + Green Grocer + Lego Collector's Book I have also sent a query to the staff at Lego because when I check my order status, nothing shows up and it just says 'No order Placed' Why is that the case? I only signed up as a new member to Lego after I placed my first order. Is that the issue? Many Thanks!

I find I always get a shipping email at about the same time regardless of when I placed the order which suggests they ship all orders for one region or country from the warehouse at the same time. As for the latter, yes, if you only signed up as a new member after you placed an order, the original order won't show up. I wouldn't stress, just sit back and relax and wait for the mail to arrive! As they say, it takes 8-18 business days but I usually find it in the smaller range rather than the larger.
July 22, 200816 yr I havent ordered anything online as yet... If I get the urge to buy something I want it now.. not in 2 weeks time... In a way its good cause it stops me from buying ALOT of stuff hehe tried to find the Eiffel Tower at Myers recently but couldnt get it.. sold out everywhere =|

It didn't even arrive at Chatswood Myers store because I pretty much go there everyday during lunch hours.

July 23, 200816 yr Hmm.. yet to receive any email from Lego that my goods has been dispatched. I ordered the Green Grocer + Market Street + Lego Collector's Book last Friday night and now is Wednesday Night.. I guess they probably only received the order on Monday... I just have to be patient = )

As I said above, I find for standard shipping they usually send the same day regardless of when I order. I usually have an email at about 8am on Sat morning saying the order's been shipped. To save money I think for standard they make shipments to one country as a job lot. Maybe because you ordered on Friday night you missed last week's shipment - that would be my guess. July 27, 200816 yr Whooo Hoo!! Thanks for your confirmation! Lego does send out dispatch email on Sat morning only!! I rang Lego Direct and they said mine was shipped on Friday morning... Hopefully i will get it within the next 7 days if I am lucky! Another questions? How reliable is Lego shipping? reliable as in I don't want my stocks to get stolen or lost! Is it delievered through AusPost? Does it require signature upon delievery? I am planning to place an order worth more than 600ish... just wanna be in the safe side... August 1, 200816 yr I've been fortunate enough to make a contact in the States who is shipping boxes to me. I placed 2 orders. First was 2 UCS Destroyers and a Death Star 2, which shipped within 2 days. Next I ordered the Hoth Rebel Base and got shipping confirmation less than 24 hours later! Those guys don't know how lucky they are over there
August 5, 200816 yr I got my Lego Parcel today! Woo Hoo! 12 Business Days for the delievery... pretty quick! Hopefully my send parcel will come next week!
