TeriXeri Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 (edited) This is just speculation of what 2021 sets could be like when looking at previous years, in terms of size/style/subject. 31111 Cyber Drone €9,99 <- 2018 Drone Explorer 31112 Wild Lion €14,99 < - 2016 Park Animals <- 2017 Mighty Dinosaurs <- 2019 Deep Sea Creatures 31113 Racecar Transporter €24,99 <- 2015 Vehicle Transporter <- 2017 Airshow Aces <- 2019 Shuttle Transporter 31114 Offroad Motorcycle €19,99 <- 2017 Sunset Street Bike 31115 Space-Mech €24,99 <- 2019 Underwater Robot <- 2015 Future Flyers 31116 Safari Treehouse €29,99 < - 2016 Treehouse <- 2018 Treehouse 31117 ??? 31118 Surfer Beachhouse €49,99 <- 2012 Seaside House Edited September 24, 2020 by TeriXeri Quote
JintaiZ Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 (edited) @Digger of Bricks - Any other news? Thought we may get a rumor about the new modular... Edited January 13, 2021 by JintaiZ Quote
danth Posted September 24, 2020 Posted September 24, 2020 I wonder how disappointing the space mech will be. On a scale of 31007 Power Mech retread to an explicitly Space-themed, piloted mining-mech. Quote
Agent 86 Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 Fingers crossed the Surfer Beachhouse is a return to form for Creator 3 in 1 residential buildings, that is, FULLY enclosed instead of being open-backed (like the recent Toy Store and Townhouse) or *technically* enclosed, but intended to be displayed Lego City style (like the Park Street Townhouse). Well, the set is only listed as €5 more then 31090: Underwater Robot or 71707: Kai's Mech Jet , but I certainly hope it's possible to fit a minifigure. I do have faith, as the Underwater Robot can indeed fit a figure easily without any real mods. Quote

Ugh, I heard 10 more earlier. Only 5? Hmmm. Well a few $20 Creator sets had a minifig. And a few $30 Creator sets had 2. I guess it's still possible. Quote

I've been quite happy with most of the €20 3-in-1 vehicle sets that came out in recent years. 31103: Rocket Truck wasn't so great however imo, overpriced at €25 here, but I can still see how kids could like it, with the big wheels. I much prefer the €10 Sports Car set instead. Anyhow, many 3-in-1 vehicles have a 2x2 spot to seat a figure, but of course if they include another Space fig , even if it's the same torso as the Rover, would be nice. Actually, I might be heavily biased by the fact that it was my son's first LEGO set. I think of it very fondly for that reason. Quote

Gumalca Posted October 6, 2020 Posted October 6, 2020 (edited) Creator leaks are on Instagram. Except for the drone. Nothing really catches my eye, maybe the bike. The lion has flimsy legs and a brutal looking face that looks like every dragon or dino face ever. Really bad compared to 4884. The giraffe from the Safari tree house could be cute actually. Edited October 6, 2020 by Gumalca Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted October 6, 2020 Posted October 6, 2020 Thanks for the news! The safari treehouse is too big and blocky. But the surfer's house could be quite nice - regreattably the picture doesn't show it completely. Quote
danth Posted October 7, 2020 Posted October 7, 2020 That Space Mining Mech... I like the design. But an empty mech is pretty weird. It should really have a pilot. Also, missed opportunity to make it themed. That shield piece in the front would have been a perfect place to put a Space logo print; either Classic Space, or the (both similar) Space Miner or Mars Mission logo. An trans-orange bubble would have made a good Mars Mission themed mech without changing anything else. Or, keep the non-colored canopy and make the mech gray and orange to match the Space Miner. As it is, it's...meh. Quote

I agree a figure would've been nice included, I just hope it can fit a figure with a helmet on in it, at least I'm glad I got some orange astronauts from 2019 City space, orange suits and visors. Underwater Robot can barely fit a figure with no mod with no helmet, but after removing a tile inside and the technic axle below it, it does give 1 plate extra headroom to fit a diver with airtank/backpack. I do hope for nice alternate builds. Edited October 7, 2020 by TeriXeri Quote

It is just a preliminary render, so maybe there's still a chance the final product could give us a new canopy recolor? Quote

Oh, really? I thought the leak was a scan of a finished catalogue. Darn it, are you trying to get my hopes back up? Oh, duh. It literally says preliminary on the image.
