Inertia Posted June 1, 2008 Author Posted June 1, 2008 Mars Mission and all of it's colorfulness just can't beat the grand old classic space line. Yeah, but you could make a MCM with MM colors... All you would need is the Iceplanet quarter dome piece... Quote
Lokix Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Great review, this is a brilliant set, one I always wanted but never did manage to get as a kid. Thankfully ebay came to the rescue and I managed to get one of these for 30 euro, then another one. I got lukier again when I spotted a box of lego up for sale with some of the pieces for this set in it. Turned out to actually contain one of each of all the M-Tron sets and a Blacktron 1 alienator and all for 20 euro. Moral the story, its worth keeping an eye out on ebay. I saw one of these go boxed for less than 10 recently. I also got parts off Bricklink and built this in the Futuron and Blacktron 1 colour schemes. I was planning on selling them once I was done but couldn't bring myself to do it. I want to build one in classic space colour scheme now. Quote
Lasse D Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 With all this talking about how it compares to the MM-set, I would really like to see a comparison between them - with pictures. I have seen the MM-set with 40% off the price, but still felt it was too expensive. If someone would give me the MM-set, I would be glad to make some comparison pictures Quote

dj2005 Posted October 19, 2008 Posted October 19, 2008 Thank you for this review, Inertia. I believe I'll pick one of these up even though I have no other space sets. In my childhood I absolutely loved M-Tron and their magnets. Quote
Legoking Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 You have a lot of pictures and they are very well taken. I think you could make you descriptions for your pictures a little bit longer and add an Overall at the end of the review. Other than that, you have done a great job! LegoKing Quote
